Updated the link as it's now being advertised on the museum website. They're doing the reduced entry fee for UK-Vac members again: just enter 'tempest' at checkout. Also updated list of who's confirmed coming.

Let me know if you plan to attend and let's have some volunteers for talks / bringing cabs!

So hopefully we'll have an update fairly soon in regards to what state the current machines are in and what parts are missing etc. I do know that a couple of boards have been repaired since the last event, and they are making their way back to the museum now, so fitting them will be a great moment.

We'll undoubtedly be looking to raise some funds for the museum in order to purchase parts, send off a monitor chassis or two for repairs or have parts donated... watch this space!

If I can get one or two more confirmed attendees then inviting the BBC would be a good idea.
Ianski will be bringing a few more cabs, and Jason will setup a number of arcade ports on consoles, but I need one or two more guys to bring cabs. I'll bring my Vectrex for what it's worth.

Anyone want to hold a talk, run a quiz or have another idea for the day?

As discussed on another thread; the Alien Syndrome CPO has now arrived at the museum! A big thanks to ThisOldGame for making it happen. We'll need a volunteer or two to pull off the old one and fit the new. I guess it'll need some sort of scraper / solution combination to remove the old glue first. I've only done it once before but i'm sure there'll be a few experienced people in the room to make sure it goes on straight with as little trapped air pockets as possible. We'll also need to address the issue of the cut out window by adding perspex before applying the new CPO. Should be fun!

Hope I can do some securing of castors on some of the cabs if Jason still has them and is happy , I also want to do some cab cleaning, nothing risky just magic sponge!

sounds good. i had a go at the centipede cpo it came up much better.

hopefully the boards will turn up soon and we can get a few of the games working on the day.

After listening to the 10 Pence Arcade podcast I'm very glad to say that Vic and Shaun have agreed to do a slot! Not sure what form it'll take but i'm sure the guys will let us know.
