I will start putting a scoreboard together soon to see how people are getting on but not really in the market for having the admin of vetting effectively two competitions.Just a suggestion (feel free to ignore - it's not my gig after all!).... but so not to put off new players, why not split the winnings - say £25 to the charity nominated by the guys/gals that haven't played it before (or have just played a few games) and £25 to those that have quite a few hours under their belt.
Obviously some honesty required when submitting a score but this is for charity after all.
And it would encourage bomb jack noobs to give this awesome game a go.
Coolio - let battle commenceI will start putting a scoreboard together soon to see how people are getting on but not really in the market for having the admin of vetting effectively two competitions.
Plus; with a month of play time, I think it’s feasible for a beginner to get really good at the game.
I went from barely registering to 400k in a few hours.
I think it’s fun just competing with everyone and if someone blows us all out of the water then so be it. Hopefully they’ll be kind enough to share a video so people can learn
All 23 lit bombs in a row gives a 50,000 bonus! That’s the keyI think it's been mentioned, but the key to the big scores is getting the bombs in the order that they are lit.
Collecting the BONUS "B"s can make quite a difference to your score on an individual screen. Each BONUS acts as a score multiplier and you can collect up to 5 on each screen. The BONUS "B"'s appear when your score rolls over a multiple a 5,000 e.g. you will get a BONUS "B" at 5,000, 10,000, 15,000 etc. An advance tip.... you want to ideally finish a screen as close to a multiple of 5,000 as possible e.g. 9,990 would be be perfect. The reason why, is that you only have to jump on the next screen to score 1o points and your score will roll over to 10,000 - that will release the first BONUS "B". Collect the BONUS "B" and then every BOMB you collect from the very start of this next screen will score double. That will get you to the next multiple of 5,000 quicker to release the next BONUS "B" and so on.
So how do you get close to a multiple of 5,000 at the end of a screen? Well, I'm no advocate of jumping and waggling to point scab.... not only is it boring but with fast enemies it's high risk. However, it is a useful technique just to nudge your end score closer to a multiple of 5,000. So for example, if your score is 12,800 and you have one bomb left, then try and bit of jumping and waggling to get your score closer to 15,000. However, remember the last bomb collected will add to your score... nothing worse than getting your maths wrong and ending the screen with a score just over a 5,000 multiple - that's the worse way to start a new screen.
Yes, but it's not the only key, as Jim says. For instance, 100k I possible on Lv1 alone, albeit a bit of a faff and not something I play for but 80 to 90k per level is a good aim, and you cannot get this by just collect the bombs in order. All 23 lit bombs in a row gives a 50,000 bonus! That’s the key
As it says at the top of your screen, that's a fantastic score!Just broke a mil for the first time

Marquee looks awesome 👌Thought I’d get the marquee in mine.
Got further than I have before but score still about the same as I’ve always capped out at.
Have another crack next week.

Awesome score... a million is quite the milestone....I didn’t realise the patterns start to repeat around lv 18 so suddenly knowledge of early patterns is useful again.
I only just stumbled over the line though! I was on 997,xxx at the start of the level and quickly got overwhelmed. I grabbed a few coins, and having got trapped, I dashed for another coin and a couple more flashing bombs to get it!
What weird version of this? Huge scores with only Round 1 on the score boardThis was my effort today not played it in a long time so thought I would give it a wee 30 mins of play can't remember what sequence I use to do the boards in but im sure it will come back to me.
