Not least…. 60s/70s To mention the balloons always seemed to be arranged around the picture rail at eye level OK and very party-like with one long one above two smaller pear shaped ones - and quite acceptable !!!!! ? Until the long one began to leak air and slowly withered to a relative droopy size and shape😂 naughty parents !

To us innocent children just balloons but mummy and daddy would giggle when the neighbours popped in for a sherry!!!! Pointing at them !

I don’t claim any credit for our tree, the wife just finished it ready in case grandchildren visit tomorrow …. But we did share the outside lights installation (nothing fancy) which we do every Xmas on the front.

The tree just puts the jukebox in the shade for 5 weeks ( actually it’s often cluttered up with items anyway so rarely gets action! )

We don’t normally photograph our tree !!!
However this pic’ just captures me between my two ‘angels’

Perfect Christmas Scene, Tree next to Logs with Open Fire going :)

They used to get engineers called out to fix peoples TV's because they complained the picture was poor, it was all the grime and brown tint on the tube from smoking :ROFLMAO:
Used to clean some of them when they came back from rental, jeez that cleaner they used got it off easy, spray it on and the dirt just ran down tube or sides of TV, used to make you cough too, strong stuff that

My first JAMMA cab must have been in a pub or working man's club. I remember literally being shocked at how good the picture was once I realised it was covered in nictotine/tar and cleaned it all off.

I think it's down to the fact that most of us probably grew up in the 70s and Christmas is about nostalgia. Forget the Yankee candle Christmas pine needle scent bollox and give me old Holborn and pipe baccy any day. Might send that to the peeps at Yankee candle as a suggestion 😁

YAY I got called Bods  Bobs is fine the good lady calls me Bobs, Busy Bobs coz I'm always too busy doing stuff :D

Don't know if I have any pics of the tree that was in my Garden, me Gran always had a real tree in the front room here, one year his sister planted it in the garden after Christmas, was about 40ft after years, came out about half way across the garden.

I have great memories of my lounge/dinning room at Christmas though as we all used to be here when I was young in 70's 80's at Christmas from midday onwards and would stay the night, we got to play with my cousins new toys before he did :ROFLMAO: he had Tin Can Alley one year which was hidden here at my grans old house, so when we were here we fetched it out and had a go with it

Used to be loads of us here, my dads relatives from Yorkshire and near Blackpool, his Uncles smoking Pipes, was good times and this room still has same wall paper, carpet and curtains it had then  and same fireplace I never got rid of the open fire but have fitted Log Burner as everything for open one needed replacing which you can't get, nice being about to close door and leave going without worry
