It's a great game, got spooked when the tilemap started scrolling, didn't realise it was gonna come back down. Was hard not to swear as I did this while students were in the room working away.

Just had three goes at this in Mame and got 10030 on the last go.

Hey, what a cool game. Bizarrely addictive, yet remarkably simple.

Clearly I need some practice, however it doesn't pee me off in the way that Volfied does, which I was having a go at, but the controls, collision detection, etc annoy me point the past of playing.

So, here's my best after an hours play, hoping to better and better...

PS: At least all these HS challenges make me play games I would never had found (even if I'm pants at them!!)

It is just practice dude. I can sometimes get 1 pixel away from an edge.
Try the purple area/route for more points, however it can be rather tight in there!
-the levels get interesting when the whole screen starts to scroll

If you go the purple route in level 1 you can get near enough 4000 just on the first level.

I had another go after this and actually got further (to the level where it all starts moving around) but didn't seem to get many points.

The game is very unforgiving and frustrating, but still fun tho.

Had a few goes, managed 20000ish - seems I need to go purple to get up to Davids score.

I used to be able to clock this BITD (about 40 years ago!) - from memory, there are only 8 screens, once you can do those you can keep going forever .... (I think they get quicker though)

Playing on Mame at the moment, but I do have a mini-upright to play on as well. (pictured)

Now I have Mame setup to work properly with snaps I can post something if I get a good enough score (and when it gets warmer, I can go play on the real thing!)

No I didn't. I think on my higher score go I died a lot on the same level (2 or 3) but got a lot of points each life in the green sections. I think anyway, I wasn't watching the score but I noticed some sounds while going through the green bits which I am assuming was points racking up...
