I like #1.A recent conversation reminded me of a comparison I did a while back on three different CRT screens that I owned.
I think it's interesting to see picture display preference, albeit your eyes/brain doesn't even notice any difference when playing!
No shenanigans (although no.2 is a bit less bright) – photos of the actual screen captured by my camera

Had a right rant going on in my head before I fell asleep.
Why did the Neo Geo games get a 7 or 6/10 in CVG and such mags and SNES Final Fight without Guy get like 97/100!?

Because they were £200 each in 1990 money and didn't look or sound anywhere near 5x better.
Plus loads of them were blatant knock-offs or rather bland. Couldn't do driving games either - Riding Hero is dismal.
Must've had an inferior SF2 clone every other week at one point.
Not that I don't love Viewpoint or Metal Slug, or Last Resort, but as a console it never seemed more legendary for being insanely expensive than for everything on it being brilliant.
(Burning Fight did get over 90% in CVG, so they did like that)
I've always had a soft spot for Burning Fight. There are a couple of good ideas, like going into shops, fighting on top of a train (rather than in it) and the boss introductions. It's only really sin is being so bland, and the characters always looked very dodgy..
Is there anyone else I can pick..?
