You don’t need a drill, you just need to desolder them! Add a bit of solder before using wick or a sucker. It should come right off.

Yes, think mistake I made was not adding the solder till battery snapped off and it got stuck and then I got frustrated should of left it till morning. I have knicked a board out another one for now that I had soldered ok !!!

I am replacing this with a brand new Bluetooth board that also had battery holder. It was only a fiver more than sourcing a secondhand board. The ports are not easily available and seems the only new board.

Installed this tonight was really just so I could get the controller ports back working, but I did obvioulsy hooked up an xbox controller to test it !

I think this £50 console has cost me about £150 in upgrades

After lots of testing found the Bluetooth pain in ass with gdemu as sometimes fails to kick in before menu does. Seems a lot more stable with gdrom drive. Ill be selling this console at what cost me, to try and get money back as when you don't use Bluetooth the light flashes and annoys me !! Though you can boot up and disable the bluetooth by pressing button and power at same time. You get a solid red light then, it just dont save that setting. I need to thin down on my dreamcasts as have 6 now!! Apart from light flashing it's great as brand new ports, usb power supply and a new gdemu like a triggers broom. Might use cash to get a modded switch instead !! Dreamcasts don't seem to sell well on here mind.
