What prompted me to get Dreamcast was when I got 2 controllers, AV cables, Memory cards, 50 copies of Sega Rally 2 which were just disc in CD case so must of been given away at some point with systems, then I bought 1st boxed one off Amazon Market place probably 2002, came with a good few games one being F355 Challenge and soon as I played that I thought ah damn this is the game I saw in the Arcade at Skegness which was the F355 Deluxe

I thought finally a decent Racing Simulator I enjoyed playing and happily drive around for ages improving, bought the Thrustmaster wheel/pedals, just a shame they were all cheap ones but still better than a pad, that's what started my crazy idea of owning F355 Dlx and then Initial D which were my last 2 machines I was buying, probably bought another 12+ after that  which is why I had to get side extension done

I bought the Microphone for DC as well, not sure why now but got one anyway

Seaman Spock was grumpy at the best of times. I know it had a tonne of arcade ports but there were some really good experimental games too. Rez, Cool Cool Toon, Seaman, Phantasy Star Online etc etc

Games I bought were Last Blade, various King of fighters, SF3 2nd impact, Rez, Seaman, Samba de Amigo, Voot with the twin stick controller, Space channel 5, Cool cool toon,(never worked out how to play it) Ikaruga, Border Down.

Then when it was all over bought a load of space shooters, seemed to go on for a while.

Lots of great games, looking back cost me a fortune 🤔🤔

I always had a soft spot for the Dreamcast, it's full of great games.
This year I got it setup running in VGA mode to my BVM, 480p looks fantastic, just today I got the twin stick out of the cupboard and played Xenocrisis.

Got this working japanese dreamcast today. Shame will be ripping the japanese power supply and gdrom drive straight out !! The seller gave me a handy hint. Notice how yellowing had made it two tone. If anyone fancies the parts let me know as could do with some money back on this towards fund a new usb power supply. Cheers

Yes I have a friend doing a controller for me. Has yours stayed looking good, I hear some plastics go back quite quickly.
i'll check it tomorrow, not seen it for 6 months, i went through a period of doing it to everything, nothing has fell apart like some of the stories you hear though

I’ve got 2 or 3 Dreamcasts, one of which is mounted into my MAME machine that I don’t think I’ll ever finish 😂. Has a KVM switch to switch between PC and Dreamcast:

Never had a Japanese dreamcast before noticed two internal things different when looking to replace fan and gdrom.

The fan housing is solid metal, looks quite nice, so did not bother replacing the fan !

Where the GDemu mount sits where you normally put the longer screw into a front left hole, but the hole is slightly forward so nothing to screw into. Not a major issue as it can easily be held by the one short screw in top left, but odd how position is different between the models.

I had to remove the GDEMU as further investigation the console is a va0 so would be giving it 5 volts rather than v3.3. Then I noticed the drive in it was a 3,3V gdemu so not fit for purpose. I cant use this for GDEMU and dont want to spend money sourcing a 5 volt GDrom drive either

Ive contacted the ebay seller to say it was sold as tested and working but the GDrom is not fit for purpose. We will see but guess £50 down the drain.

Mobo looks nice mind :)

Dont know of anyone else has done battery holder replacement but they either go really smoothly or the pins seems to be bloody welded in form the originnal battery. Really messed up today and drilled too bigger hole trying to get the sod out. The funny thing is all the controller ports still work but the LED dont come on !! The irony is I have about every spare going for a dreamcast apart from a speare 3 pin controller port. I have put a wanted add in. It's only a spare japanese console I am going to practise on for de-yellowing but wish i had just left it with broken time :)
