Sorry for the late reply. I just crashed out when I got back from work last night.
Here is the link to the ebay chat transcript. (I just edited out my real name and Ebay ID)

That's no problem, a few days wouldn't have mattered, don't know if anyone been finding it with the heat I've been more tired than usual and had to have late afternoon sleep some days and wake up like 8pm, I finished cutting conifer trees yesterday and couldn't be bothered to do much after that

Can I talk to a Human not a Bot  it gets worse trying to talk to companies, soon it will be all AI crap
Using EVRI for me is also NOT an Option as they are morons, they did get a bit better but I stopped buying many things on ebay like Ghetto Blasters due to people posting with Hermes-EVRI re-brand because they were so poor

So don't you get the Custom Postage Option? this was a listing I started about a week ago lol for brake pads, Its got custom so I can use that and select Postage option and you have Parcelforce there. Trouble is ebay is different on different browers, it differs as they seem to update things slowly so sometimes you have options when others don't. I mean I've only had that one item sold so far with Address hidden and mate said it's like that on nearly all his

SimpleCustom.jpg

So I can go on Change Service and select but I could probably do another listing and option won't be there but I haven't list much new yet
Ah as I'm reading more, who or what ever is at the other end tells you only certain category's have option which is shite, I'm listing brake pads which are lest than 2kg and have option for Custom, they are just idiots at eBay, there was no issue with postage before so why they need to change it I don't know

if they said Simple delivery for small/Med Parcels it wouldn't be so bad or just small even but how

o_OTo ensure your easy access to the account regarding your query, I highly recommend you to activate the latest feature which is zero of cost and slightly different in its interface but easier for you to navigate through. I just need your approval

"EVRI already lost a very rare collectable that my partner bought after years and years of searching. Getting a refund is fine but the item WAS wanted and now lost or destroyed"
Exactly what I say, what use is refund but that's all they care about
My newphew worked at EVRI parcel place over Xmas and they loose tons of parcels, I posted what he said somewhere but forget now but it was a serious amount and how many parcels have I had lost or broken with royal mail over 20 years probably 1 lost and 1 slightly damaged, a speaker with something loose inside which buyer sorted and I got part refund and passed to buyer

Just need enough people to stop using them and they'll soon change though they don't care much about Private sellers anymore, the ones that made them grow
I'm surprised they didn't suggest you become a Business seller to get round SimpleNOT Delivery shite

LOL'd when you said can I just speak to a person and not a bot and they replied they were a person. I would guess English was not their first language.

If its oversize just use EVRI, you scan the QR code on a terminal in the shop, it prints the label off, stick it on and then get the shop to scan it to confirm received.

They don't weigh or check the parcel size when they scan it.

As long as you have used the ebay recommended postage size then its ebays problem after that, if you change it to anything else from the recommended then they will charge you for the excess charges and admin fees.

For weeks the equipment at my local shop wasn't working so they couldn't scan and print off the labels as I asked before I needed to post some spray cans that you can't apparently send with any couriers but I knew PO would question when they rattle and woman at shop for EVRI wouldn't care, only time I used them and printed my own label

I have no option for custom postage and will not post something out with a wrong service.
I believe only a few catogories still have that option enabled.

Really hate the idea of using Evri. I did some temp work for some extra money when they were still called hermes and saw first hand how badly parcels are treated. Everything is tossed even if marked as fragile. They just dont care about losses or damages as they also make it darn impossible to get compensation out of them.

You really have to pack items so a tank can roll over the parcel if you want to ensure survival and even if they do survive evri drivers love to leave your parcels out in the open in the street.

Evri just can not but trusted, but to be honest even Royal Mails service is gradually getting worse.

Totally understand and as you say it's just more delays, headaches if you send and then they say postage cost not enough, sellers will be open refund claims etc
The only option to make sure you don't loose out is doing postage free and adding on extra to listing in case its going to cost you more

Are your Addresses hidden when you go to post? I could still get the address from going to print Packing Slip and then just post with Parcelforce, I did that when they wanted to charge me £14.95 for Amp and I posted for £10.40

Just extra pain for nothing though all this is

Not sure if I can access buyers address details anymore as I have not had a recent sale, as I had been holding back adding more listings until they did the recent payment changes.

For now I de-listed everything that had not yet sold but the problem is there is still no real alternatives to ebay and I need to move a bunch of stuff on.

EDIT: (To avoid a double post)
For a few items I've bought from ebay sellers using recommended Royal Mail postage in the past few months , I've ended up having to pay fee's often adding up to £8 to receive the item due to insufficient postage cost. I've been lucky in that the sellers have so far always refunded me out of their pocket even though its not really their own fault. Has anyone else experienced this as a buyer or seller?

Other half gets quite a few items they haven't paid enough postage, many before Simples delivery started, one issue is sellers putting weight at 0 grams
I've had odd ones and I just don't accept the item because you never know if you will get money back, if it was an item I really wanted I would struggle to get again I may pay and try getting the money out of seller or ebay. I would suspect most cases it's the seller being dishonest

Also she had one the seller saying it was due to fake stamps being used
