When you offer free postage the buyer thinks they're getting a good deal, when you offer free postage with next day delivery it shows up bright green thus pulling the buyers towards your item before any others PLUS ebay cannot charge you for free postage AND your seller score for postage stays full.

I found Ebay is quite slow at the moment, however BIN items do sell after a few months of being listed. Usually with the buyers making an offer of about %10 off. The only issue with that is that any final value selling fee discounts tend to have expired.

Yes international sales are the way to go, massively increases your chance of selling.
I make a point of only ever listing anything on ebay when it is an 80% off fees promotion.

This seems to be like clockwork now.....every 3rd weekend I get this offer and have done for more than 2 years.

All my items are listed as Buy In Now for 31 days. As soon as that time runs out I remove the listing, so it doesn't auto relist and that way I never (OK, very rarely) get caught out and pay the normal selling fees.

I then wait for the next fee promotions offer before 'Selling a Similar Item' to the ones that went unsold. Just don't use 'Relist this item' otherwise it then doesn't qualify for the promotional offer, even if listed while this is effective.

That's what I do. As a say, you have to make sure you use 'Sell a Similar item' not 'Relist This item' otherwise it automatically doesn't qualify for any promotional offer

Ebay don't tell you about this either. You only find out when you check the fees you have been charged when the item sells

I nearly always relist and only pay 80% on fees
All you lot moaning about not selling listen up
Don't use a phone to do your adverts
Take time and write a proper description
Use buy it now only
Enable international sales
If an item is too cheap people will think there's a problem with it
Do proper photos
Include free FIRST CLASS TRACKED delivery, dont be a miser, people want the shit they've bought ASAP and in one piece

You will notice a difference trust me.
I always done all that but makes no difference apart from the later but that depends on how quick they need things, how much your selling it for, if you were selling new car parts then yeah people probably want them quick and I would offer quicker post if it sold more even if you get a bit less

End of day it depends what your selling, if your business seller you'll sell more because you have to offer returns so you can be selling New items but private seller so don't want time waster that buy to try and return so straight away at disadvantage as well as the most popular sellers are at top of list

I've had New items on, trying to sell more at good price when others selling for double my price but they either don't look down the list far enough to see mine or they would sooner pay £4 for one than £9.99 for 6 o_O

End of the day it depends what your selling, I could list stuff I can sell but it's stuff I'm keeping but I'll get more stuff on now Holidays are over and hopefully shift some crap lol

I see a positive in cash payment being removed, as a couple of times I've walked away without paying for something 😬

Not deliberate, for the record, just spaced-out or flustered after ages driving round getting lost in housing estates. One of us realised by the end of the driveway, fortunately 😊

Don't let it run 31 days. If you get the offers every 3 weeks just go to your listing on the 3rd week when you get the 80% off then do "sell similar". You have to change the title slightly or Ebay says you can't have 2 of the same item. Once you've relisted just cancel your old one and you're right back at the top of the newly listed search.

My 80% offer is every 2 weeks so I renew twice a month unless I've got a few watchers on the item.

I do that sometimes. Depends how many other items I have to list and what time I have on my hands when the cheap listing week comes around 👍
