These are the sticks which were installed but feel a bit gunged up and not 100% responsive so will dismantle clean and replace the micro switches as some have cracked . Wd40 loosened the parts as all were totally stuck.

I decided to have a look at the LED credit counter on 4 Slot MVS which plugs directly into motherboard. The credit display board is mounted onto a perspex casing which then attaches to front plate.
There is a small piece of red transparent film applied on the outside of the Perspex casing - due to age and heat this has normally disintegrated , bleached out or melted onto Perspex .
I decided to replace so picked up some car headlight film which is a very close match , self adhesive and makes the digits vivid and pop out.
If anyone needs a strip for the price of a second class stamp let me know and can freely provide.

I Have really enjoyed working on the xenons’s over the last year and as they come to completion I decided a few months back to look at making a screen print to remake the stenciled areas on the speaker metal work . The original print is normally long gone after 30 plus years but I did find the faint remnant on one of my panels. I have been working with a screen print designer (Robin ) on this Thanks to @_Matt_ for his Electrocoin knowledge and feedback with the process.
Also to confirm now that Olly at arcade art shop ( @muddymusic on here ) has scanned all the Xenon art pieces in now which were saved from the outside cab . Thanks Olly !
This is where we are at to so far with a little more work to do before printing.

Fantastic work and dedication Ant, you've done a great job! There are loads of Xenons out there and most people with these cabs probably don't realise that they once had that art on it so I imagine when they see yours finished they will want to do the same to theirs.

Thanks Matt much appreciated!
Who would have thought buying an eBay Xenon ( left to rot
outside) primarily for its printed glass would lead me on a little journey and
Restoration project and meeting some Great people along the way.
Hopefully if Xenon enthusiasts out there have access to some fresh repro art work then they can enjoy their cabinets even more.

I like those graphics, I owned a xenon once and didn't even know there was meant to be any of that as my metal part was completely blank.
First one I had come across , you can make it out on some of the promotional Electrocoin flyers. Will do some colour tests when screens are made up but likely will print silver as logo on sides or white.

Thanks for the feedback chaps, will do a test with white and silver ink when the screen is made and update.
In the meantime while waiting for that I wanted to give my electrocoin mvs 6 slot some love .Deep clean and decided to replace the repro cpo with the updated version which Olly @muddymusic had produced. Looks absolutely great and so close next to an original. I also remade the card reader cover as had cracked and riveted on.

The screen arrived this morning !
This has been a great project so far ,really enjoyed working with Robin at Flax Fox print supplies and he has helped so much with the designs and getting it to this stage.
I have not made a screen print before so just excited about using it in the next few weeks. The screen is an artwork in its own right !

Realised I was missing a memory card holder for a 4 slot control panel I am working on, Luckily I had an original (Top photo)in a 6 slot to make a copy from.

Will drill the 4 fixing points for the memory card reader next.
Had no idea these existed but are close to the original fixtures used.
Good old Accu, took a while to find as wasn’t sure what they were called but got there eventually. Socket Countersunk barrel nuts - threaded inside so fit m4 socket button screws.

Came across the flyer pic, that seems to have yet again different design on speakers

Looking back on this photo it was probably an early mock up of the cabinet design before it went into production? Not seen a version in the wild like this.
The credit information and pricing was moved to the glass which was a better idea for the player and Operator.
