I’m really happy with Octopus Intelligent Go and have been pretty impressed with them having been transferred from Bulb.

All EV charging is 7.5p / kWh and everything between 11:30 and 7:30 is the same so we time our washing machine / dishwasher / chargers etc to all come on in the night.

Normal rates are 27p an hour or thereabouts.

The charging works really well and they’ve been pretty easy to deal with.

The car has done 1590 miles for £34.39

Not strictly true , Your car or charger has to be compatible for the 7.5p one Else you go on a 9p one and its only 3 or 4 hours for that !!!

I am waiting for the 7.5p one as my car nor charger is compatible. Happy i switched though, Still great at 9p ! I need to switch as I started on the 23p without the night one.

I guess I’m compatible. I have a Polestar 2 and Ohme Pro Home charger and def get those rates as they itemise my bill per every half hour now.

They’ve even put me on the cheap rate for the whole house during the day when my car has been charging.

Similar setup here but with 10kw battery. Night rates, sunny days (free leccy), selling back to grid, leccy car charging. Working great - bit different in winter though but can charge battery and car at 7p kw overnight.

My EV charger died last week so had to use a local instavolt fast charger to top up. Cost me £45 to go from about 25% to 80% (£0.85 per kwh):cry:

Octopus are supposedly fitting a replacement tomorrow but not holding out much hope as they couldn't find the earth rod last time so didn't complete the install

For the Octopus Agile rate the
Agile, probably could be good but fucked if I'm monitoring the cost all day:D

For Agile the prices are published the day before and are in 30min increments so you dont have to sit there watching them all day you can plan ahead.

They also have a rest API for it so the real clever bods using something linke Home Assistant to control their batteries charge/discharge cycles can have it set to pull down the next days rates to schedule the batteries for best usage.

I'm sure you can save money, I just don't want to have to think about what's running when. I switchwd from Intelligent Octopus to tracker so I wouldn't even have to think about overnight rates

You're right there. For the first time in my life I don't think I can be bothered to vote for any of them. When you think of the leaders of previous generations the current crop is a fkn joke.
I have a very low opinion of MPs, so won't be voting.

Vote for Mr Hankey 💩 You know it makes sense! 😆

Edit: just realised this post may come across as racist, or something. It's not intended. I was just joking about crapping in the ballot box. 😆
