Wow! Every track so memorable! Plus a lot of these belters that were still rattling around the airways long into the late 80s and beyond. Just shows the type of environment and societies we had at the time to spawn and soak up this fresh, exciting, innovative classic 80s music.
Culture Club Karma Charmeleon reminds me of Star Wars Figures every time i hear it. It was piped in on the shopping center music system as i was walking towards my favourite toy/model shop to buy a Gamorrean Guard with my pocket money.
Blissfully feeling nostalgia even at that time.

Just a bit like when I get round to powering up one of the redundant vinyl jukeboxes in my shed ! It’s great brain food if I can remember the words and even sing along !

We do also have one vinyl in the lounge on big 10p per play but lazily if we want nostalgic music the 70 CD one is on freeplay and choice of 1400 tracks! All eras 60s - recent …. and swap them now and then

Still listen to it, I listen to Heart 80's at work, it's just feel good music and spend most of the day reminiscing about those great old days where there was always something new going on, those 80's crazes were the best, the Rubiks Cube for example.

Still collect SW figures
Still play arcade machines
Still own and ride BMX's

Not much has changed really, maybe older but certainly don't feel much older.

Can you imagine growing up as a kid now, knowing how good we had it? What an anticlimax!!

I sold all my SW figures for 2k. My eldest child said how good it must have been growing up in the 80s. My youngest does his best with present day – often appears unexpectedly to challenge me at Daytona USA 😍

I have so many fond memories from growing up back then. My kids really enjoyed Stranger Things, and it kind of made me a little sad thinking they’re growing up watching - online, for entertainment - what kids would have done for real.

Of course, not saying they won’t make their own memories, and not for me to say their experience is better or worse. But it’s such an odd world we live in now, and one others (namely your “tech bro”) seem to have chosen for most of us.

Yes, the 80s were excitement and adventure. Always keep the spirit of the 80s alive. I've not really changed much either 👍
I've always given my children 1980s toys to play with, Star Wars, He-Man, MA.S.K.,Thundercats, Tomy, Fisher Price etc.
They have always seemed to prefer them to the fewer newer toys about in the shops!😜

It's true though, too many kids growing up nowadays and not having nostalgia for a toy etc because they're addicted to a tablet or phone while not playing outside! Is crazy.

Must have been some good star wars figures for £2k!
Definitely kids growing up in the 80s had much more for their imaginations and excitement levels.
More freedom and things to experience in the 80s.
Children and Adults stuck in a big invisible spiderweb now while being hypnotised by a little light.
