Thank you so much Purity!! Its nice to see all the history

Totally agree Bicton! I'd love to know the journey some of my cabs have taken :)

If you want the video I can copy it somewhere and you can download it? Let me know

I'll probably remove it from YouTube in a few days before the copyright police take it down

Just watched the whole clip and tbh those 2 seem very unprofessional to put it mildley, can't believe they left the trailer with the 2 cabs in unattended
smiley3.gif
also laying the cabs on their back and side which they were specifically told not to do
smiley5.gif

Jose you should have thrown £100 at them and told 'Laurel & hardy' they were lucky to get that after the cabs turned up on their back and side and also a broken Invaders as well

I'm very surprised that they didn't get stolen, left alone in the trailer

anyone could have reversed upto that trailer (obviously not knowing what was in it) and just drove away with it no problem Ben

A right pair of tw@ts they were
smiley21.gif

Its all very well saying that their 'insurence' would have covered any theft but thats not the point here,we are talking about Vintage items here and look to be in very good condition to which could (and probably will) be very hard to replace regardless of Jose being paid out to cover and loss so to speak...

they did pretty good to deliver them all the way to Spain and when got there both were working, looked like it was just a sync issue which is normal when transporting, you can't blame them for not knowing how to handle the machines aswell, not everyone has worked and moved arcade cabs

?

Martin should have taken them! lol

Jengineer as I said always can be worst of course, but was not a normal sync issue, not very in to this problems but google translator say this from my technician words.

Replacing part of the nucleus of the horizontal deflection coil... at the moment working but if any of you have some parts from this monitors contact me please.

The Asteroids... a picture says all:

I just saw Mo (Videotronics) in the opening credits, I thought I noticed the building/stock and then he popped up! :)

I was just gonna say the same thing but you beat me to it mate.
smiley1.gif

By the look on Mo's face he didn't look impressed with those same guys who delivered the cabs to spain.
smiley36.gif

The thing is, they actually turned up at his place some months back....and offered him 50 quid if they could load up a cab, take it around the block and bring it back! He thought they were pulling some prank or something and left it at that, he was most surprised when I talked to him earlier saying why he hadn't said anything about being on tv

yes on seconds thoughts they could have handled them a lot better, strong cardboard and packaging wrapped around would have protected them,

I suppose you take your chances with Shipley

Bloody hell!! I was going to ask about the Asteroids. I thought as it wasn't mentioned it would probably be ok. But as you say a picture says it all

This is why generally I try to collect my own machines
smiley18.gif
Spain is a long way though... However, I moved a fully assembled Asteroids on my own the other day and I don't recall it being that heavy. Those two made heavy weather lifting it into the van; my sister and I managed to lift a Star Wars cockpit into the back of a Luton van without a tail lift BITD, that sucked a bit more though...

I have to say that pair of wallys set a bad example for shipping cabs. The chuckle brothers could probably do better...
"Smuggler" dave is normally prettty good. I havent had any cabs damaged anything like Bictons.
Phil- your welcome for a pint anytime ;)
