Okay then, time for an update...

The plasterer was here last week and after giving it all time to dry out, my last four or five days have consisted of nothing but painting.

I. Hate. Painting.

However, it's all done now and there are a couple of new photos showing the current state. Next stage is to fit the downlighters and light in the utility room. Then it'll be staining the door frames and skirting (to be fitted a little later).

Oh yeah, I have a carpet fitter coming tomorrow to measure up too.

Most people tend to fit game room sockets at low level. Personally I would be going for a height of around 4'-5'. Low enough to be hidden from view by the cabs, but high enough that they can be reached over the top of the cab from a bar stool or small set of steps.

But that just my opinion.

Looking nice. With it being part of house ( ex integral garage ) it will look good if you decide to sell as it forms another lounge , like having sockets at sensible hight

Okay then, nearly finished!

Lights installed and the carpet was fitted today. Just waiting on the loft insulation people to do their thing (next Thursday) and we're more-or-less complete.

I need to complete the utility room (yawn) but can't start that until the base unit is delivered.

Looking forward to getting some cabs in there!

Looks fantastic - I particularly like the ramp, I needed to make one for my arcade shed, and ended up sticking aluminium plate over the threshold to protect the woodwork from cabs being dragged over it!

Will look great with cabs in.
