The scoreboard doesn't register millions and the level counter stops at 99 but the actual score was 3,973,120.

This game rules! Played it for the first time on Saturday at Arcade Club, on the real deal machine. Had about 8 games, peaked at around 70k. I'm looking forward to getting stuck into this one again...

Juno is fantastic

love the game

nevre can get past wave 5 but

wave 3 and wave 5 the easiest way to defeat them is to play by moving backward and firing

you wont even need to move forward on those waves silverfox07862015-03-17 20:48:50

A little tip for this game....

The first few waves don't shoot the alien ships straight away, just dodge the enemy fire until the small 'planet thing'appears then shoot that then grab the little point bonus thingy once the screen turns colour to the extra points then shoot as many alien ships as you can (there should be plenty to go at with you not shooting them at the start of the wave

)

I do this for the first few waves (up to the first bonus wave anyway) as after that it gets (for me anyway) far too manic in the game play

it's a great way to amass a good few points in the first few waves

My highest is 340.000+ btw but no proof...it was done on dsyde's when he had his arcade up and running

i alwsy thought of doing that and then though what about the time limit and time bonus

but im sure waiting for EARTH and then shooting is more points involved as it doubles every alien killed

You get enough time to clean up the waves before the timer runs down Sarj....it's worth it as like you say the points that are amassed far out ways what the points you get for the remaining time

You can easily get 30.000+ from the first wave

Cool. Have they sorted that cab out at long last?

The two occasions I have attempted to play it (which were over a year apart) it has been totally unplayable due to the joystick barely moving in one diagonal direction. Up/left I think.

I mastered this game a few years ago when it was on one of the JAMMA+ high score challenges. My PB went from about 200,000 to 4,000,000 plus in the space of about 20 games iirc.

I reckon the world record is attainable..........it would just take about 48 hours of constant play to get there. Not sure I am physically capable of staying awake that long, let alone the pain it would cause to the wrists.

Dsyde's machine (Electrocoin midi version) at Unigame was the best one I've played by a mile. The joystick on that just felt awesome. Movements were so precise.......which is VERY important to be able to play this game properly.

Yeah it played spot on, I can't remember thinking the joystick wasn't working correctly so I'd think so.

My wrists were feeling the pain after just a few games, so I can't imagine anyone doing a 48 hour stint!

on the early levels I slowly reverse/go forward to group the ships then around 82 seconds remaining iirc I start to go forward get the bonus and kill every ship possible as they are grouped. Not played it for ages but great game
