Diamonds give you a free game, 8000 points and end that scene.

They have a 1 in 512 chance of appearing as an apple breaks open (Default setting)

So 3 (1 in 512) chances within 1 game is very rare.

Most I've ever had before is 2 Diamonds in a game.

3 Diamonds before scene 10. The odds must be huge, too large for me to work out.

If I get a diamond early on in a scene, I usually just ignore it as you can usually score way more points by playing out the scene. And free credits don't really count for much.

One of your members contacted me on the Aussie Arcade forums where I'm a member (I'm in Australia) and told me about the Mr. Do! thread here.
Awesome! I'm a huge Mr.Do! Fan and have spent a bit of time on this game. I was also on the push to crack the million point mark and achieved that with a bit over 1.4 million. I noticed in one of the first posts in this thread someone has added the strategy guide I wrote. I hope this has helped someone out and added to your enjoyment of this game.
It looks like Kewydee has a fair bit of love for this game too. I enjoyed reading about your progress. Congrats on the 2 million.

Wait until you see him play, he's a real master of this game. Scene 255, easy peasy. Pretty sure he has done 1 million on 1 life in the past. Incredible player.

Its a shame that you don't stream, would be nice to see some more of your play.

I watched that youtube video of scenes 1,2,3. The high score showed 999,250. Would be nice to have seen that game.

Twitch has changed recently, you can now upload video to Twitch, just like youtube. Maybe upload your games to Twitch?

Hey Kewydee,
I have since updated that high score to reflect the maximum available.
A mate and I are fairly competitive on this and I wanted to make sure there was no wriggle room for him to be in the number one spot!
I think I killed off 6 or 7 men to finish at the maximum score that will display.
It is a little bit tricky to do as the diggers are so aggressive at this point that they can easily kill themselves and cause the score to click back over to zero.

Hey O! Greetings fellow Do-ers. I just found these forums. I run Mr. Do on MAME; pretty sure that it's the Universal ROM. I do have an original Mr. Do marquee on my cabinet, which my dad boosted off an original machine in the mid 80s. Enjoying the videos and tips/tricks. I've never been able to reliably put the pause trick to work, nor have I taken advantage of the offset apple method with the Alphamonsters and their crew, save, maybe, for the first couple of scenes. I think that just the latter will help get me to a million. Currently, I'm stuck on 760K.

10 years! How'd that happen.
Been playing again recently on MiSTER. Got 1.3 Million just last week.
Can't believe it's 8 years since I got my high score.
I recently found another quality player on Youtube. 1 million 1 man type of good.
Uses different techniques and routes on the higher scenes.
Exciting to learn new ways even after all these years.

How do you make the normal fellas stop when chasing you? Do you have to wait u til they are close then stop momentarily?

I’m plateauing around l20 and can’t seem to break through.
