Wow what a photo! We're all going to be changing our arcades into home cinemas and moaning about the price of 35mm films next.

You can find them on eBay nowadays. Just search "35mm feature film". Unfortunately the films are more expensive than the projectors. Titanic cost me £2700 last year plus shipping from Australia!

WOW.

You just jogged a memory for me.

I was working on a building site in Dublin around 2004/2005 and there was literally a skip full to the brim of movies on the street.

I took a few of the canisters but have no idea where whey went. I think one was Jurassic park but I might be fantasizing!

The irony at my old house I got rid of the home cinema (35mm) to make room for arcade man cave instead lol
I only had 80 features and they took up a lot of room so huge respect to storing 180 of them!

You'll be getting back into it eventually. Every 35mm collector I know that has given up on the hobby has been back "at it" within 12 months. It's in your blood!

I'm sorry I missed that opportunity!

(I have a nice print of Jurassic Park - it has to be my prized possession. The day I went to collect it still is the happiest day of my life and that was almost 30 years ago!)

Lol I’ve seen that happen many times myself. I did it with the arcades sold up but then did it all again.
I think the only way I’ve stayed “clean” from the cinema side of things is by working in an actual cinema to get my “fix” no 35mm these days unfortunately but the slipped disc in my back doesn’t mind not having to lug prints around anymore

Man, that cinema is cool! I couldn't decide what 80s classic to watch next. Just dont watch a film called "Demons" as everyone gets killed in the cinema!

, if my building wasn't Arcade it would be Music Listening room/Cinema

would love sound proofed space with my huge speakers setup in perfect layout

I have a collection of Quad Posters and original Cinema Poster frame, Curved back lit one but my dream setup if i could be arsed to work hard for another 20 years would have been Tripple Garage, going into Workshop, going into Arcade and onto Cinema, could of bought house few doors up from me which had land space as well for all that but i'd be 70 by time it would be all done so I settle for Loft turned into home Cinema

That arcade looks great and a great way to make enough money to buy new films for your cinema :)

I used to like the quiz machines you'd find in pubs for some of those same games e.g. Crystal Maze, Deal or No Deal etc Ironically though the payout rate was lower than for the slot machines!

It really is better than saving money in a jar as you get some great gameplay in the process!

The original Crystal Maze was in my local and I often walked in with a single £1 coin and pay for a drink with my winnings. However, this machine that I have is so much harder to beat. I believe that it has something to do with the coin mech needing updating. I only have a limited amount of old pound coins so I'm usually playing with 50p's. I may be wrong but my thoughts were the machine jackpot is holding off until more pound coins are added?

That skill deal or no deal is a real con artist even with the new coin mech. It's holding all the cards because if it wants you to lose, it just doesn't give you any of the numbers that you're looking for!

Great little games room with a nice selection there.

Hang on the the fruits there are getting rare now as most in the gambling industry are getting scrapped in favour of the digital versions such as Alphamax & iPub's/Prismatics.
