The hacked wiring sucks. The Norway one is the better cabinet but obviously has a hacked harness and rotated monitor.
Checking the control panel looms they simply added an additional wire into the molex for the button.
So this will be nice and easy to sort.

Good having the 2 to compare, did the Scottish one have its correct board fitted?
Yep... All Namco uprights did. It's a weird feeling.
Real pity about the hacked harness but both still beautiful all the same and amazing the original board was still in the one from Scotland.
Not sure about the micro switch Joystick
I think the Midway Joystick takes some beating, there's nothing like it.

So I checked the harnesses and I am pretty confident I could have performed a partial harness swap to minimise the hacked harness in the one I am keeping by disconnecting where highlighted, but I decided against it to be fair to the buyer of the second cabinet.
This means I have some harness work to do.

Holy 2 years later update.
I sent the remains on the bezel instruction card off to @muddymusic a while back and forgot all about it.
Here's what I managed to delicately scrape off the bezel.
Yesterday I was sent this image via WhatsApp.
