Namco Puckman!

I managed to get some photographs of the instruction card from the Puckman at Namco in Japan from a friend that visited last month.




This helped @muddymusic greatly to understand the colours he couldn't see from the missing sections and fading on my original.

This is the current 99% finished version. Just awaiting final tweaks.

The Scottish one appears to be an earlier one as it doesn't have the front serial plate.

Regarding the silver Namco plate.

I have a Blast City with one of those plates on, maybe those plates were put on machines that were operated in Namco Arcades in Japan? So the Scottish one could have started life in a Namco Arcade?

Just a thought mate.

The plates were used by Namco later in 1980 as a standard way of providing the serial number. Started midway through the Puckman production run.

@muddymusic has done an amazing job finishing off the reproduction instruction card. This is a super rare thing and you can now buy them on his website for £7!

Very cool. Just to add to this, the character designs in that artwork would have been created and hand drawn by Tadashi Yamashita.
