An interesting release from SNK, basically a re-release of the AES. Matching components, it’ll play original AES games but with a few modern touches like HMDI. Interesting!

Wonder if it will play the 138-1 carts? The Atari 2600+ plays original carts but can’t handle a flash cart, well you can load a single game in one but that’s it…

The only thing to be aware of is that everything appears to be renders at the moment, and we haven’t seen the back of the console. I’m sure there will be some independent reviews of it soon… but yeah it’s exciting!

Especially the carts. £70 for an AES Garou, rather than £1000+ on eBay… I wonder if the carts will work on original consoles too?

It only lists Australia and New Zealand for extra customs charges. UK and EU no additional costs. It could be true what they write.

I’m just an MVS guy so regrettably will not go for it. I did ask Heber a while back to ask if they would consider recreating the MVS in true hardware as the old MOBOs are getting a little unreliable to say the least but the answer was a firm no.

Would not be hard for PlaIon to create a neat MVS version but I can’t see it somehow…

This is incredible. Although not what I need after just purchasing an AES! Also excited for the cartridges too and looks like they’re doing more games in the future, would be great to own Metal Slug 3 for less than £6000
