Here's a selection of up to date photos from around the arcade...

We got Daytona working again today!

Some customers, plus you can see where water has been leaking through the
roof due to the bad weather! Fortunately that's as bad as it got for us.

Doing some arcade improvements by filling in an unsightly gap!

Note the plasterboard "roof" on the jukebox protecting it from the
rain!

Just took delivery of one more Astro City cabinet a couple of days ago. Not sure
what game I'm going to put in there yet but it might be Final Fight, Do Run Run
or Hyper Sports.

Also to let everyone know, we've officially changed our name to Astro City!
We've been thinking about changing the name for some time but we didn't want to
make it official until we had our new arcade sign installed. When I can get a
few decent photos of the sign I'll post them.

No prizes for guessing where we got the new name from!

We've recently took delivery of a 2p pusher machine. Unfortunately, like the pool tables it wouldn't go up the stairs or fit through the fire escape window. So there was only one thing we could do, dismantle the machine, take it upstairs in pieces, then reassemble it in the arcade. So that's what we did!

The dismantling process...

The assembling process...

It starts with a rectangular piece of wood!
SAM_1837_zpsc186b56c.jpg

It's a slow process as most of the wires have been chopped!
SAM_1838_zps1d65def8.jpg

Still a long way to go!

Starting to take shape.

Note the two planks of wood in-between the pipes. These are to prop up the top of the machine as it was sagging in the middle by 15 mm. Now it's perfectly straight.

Just adding the last pieces.

Finished. Good as new!

Lots to win!

Love the new sign, looks a tight fit getting the base of the pusher through the front door even after stripping, a close call there
