I'll bring some 28 pin DIL sockets with me but won't be there until 11am. I'll head straight to the Mad Planets cab and wave the sockets in the air like a loony! Shouldn't be too hard to recognise!

Hey guys.

I came down with my 8 year old lad yesterday.

We had an awesome time. The highlight for me was playing an Afterburner Upright again after 20 years. It still gave me the same buzz and now I think I am going to have to hunt one down :)

Anyway, cheers to the organisers. I did hope to meet some of you. Maybe at the next one :)

I had a great time on Saturday afternoon...many thanks to Big Phil, who I know has lived and breathed this event for such a long time...you should be very proud of what you have achieved. Thanks too all the organisers, and of course to everyone who supplied the machines.

Particular thanks to whoever it was supplied the Tron machine. I did have a chat to you but I forgot your name I am afraid. It was THE game I wanted to play, and the highlight of the show for me......and one I thought I wouldn't ever get the chance to play again, so it made me a very happy man to be able to see if I could still play it.

Sorry I beat your high score dude....you can always remove the battery.....or leave it up as something to go for :)

Blaster was dead when I got there, so it was shame I didn't get to play it.

Sorry it arrived with no sound, so we started trouble shooting and fixed it, then it kept blowing a fuse on boot up.. However Sunday it was turned on accidentally as we thought it was pooped and it just worked all day!

I had a great time there on Saturday. It was awesome to finally meet so many of the legends from UKVAC! Thanks to Big Phil for putting this together and to everyone who helped out and donated cabs and ensured the whole event ran smoothly. I still can't believe that some 'ham-fisted' plonker ragged the After Burner control stick so hard from left to right that they sheared the shaft off the potentiometer!

@Tronads. Glad you enjoyed the Tron LE and it was great to see peeps playing/enjoying the game as it doesnt get out much ( that was the first time it had ever been moved).
As for the high score- nice one an well done as its a tough machine to play.
Ps. the score stays and il do my best to beat it in the coming weeks (im terrible at pb too).
