some one put so many credits on all 4 players it was impossible to die
so unless 4 people were playing it spoilt it.

those awful credit buttons needed hiding

I reset the gauntlets a few times because of the amount of credits people were putting on them.

The buttons did the job and they were bespoke for the event. Great effort by the team building them for which I'm very grateful!

@matteep very nice machines you have there.I'm currently trying to re draw the full side art for printing would love some scans off it.

Instead of buttons Put the game on freeplay as you can't add extra health and you start with 2000.that would stop people crediting it up.
I had to do this when I took mine to RGP's party last November.

We thought we would try something different with the Gauntlets as the one credit on freeplay only gets you so far.
Trying to get that feeling of pumping 10p into it.
The boxes (i didnt make them btw) were knocked up a few days before NERG and could do with a reset button i reckon but they did the job really well.
As for people pressing the credit buttons too much..............
Hows about wiring the buttons to the mains?
Then peeps wouldnt be so keen to press them?
Wizard is about to.........BZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!! ouch!!! BZZZZZZZZZZZ....ouch!!!!

I've just realised then main reason for my skintness this month.... I've added up how much the NERG weekend (including car issues) cost me
I know I can't blame my clutch going on my way back but its all money spent this month and the grand total is..... £695

Worth every penny though

I got a free room at the Premier Inn....there was loud talking and laughing going on in the adjacent room till about 2AM. I never heard it, but wor lass did....and when they asked if we had a good night, we just casually mentioned it, not as a complaint, and not expecting anything....and the really nice lady said she would arrange a full refund.
Result !

I'll be staying there again next year !

To counter that though, I got the worst ever fuel economy figures of 52mpg in my car because I was pushing it a bit.
