Hope you enjoyed the resto, I know I did. A lot of work but nice to know this machine should stick around to show the fortnight generation what a proper game is

Thanks everyone for the nice comments, glad people think it’s been done justice.

Also just wanted to say a big thanks to all those who have helped with free parts and advice over the last year. Would not have been able to finish it without the help.

Absolutely amazing! It is such an early model from November 1986. Were all the sit down Deluxe models made in Japan? Also, is the monitor really a 26 inch?

I have never played the sit-down Deluxe model myself but a friend of mine played one in Blackpool and said it was great. That must have been about 1987.

It's still running well I can assure you.

Instead of adopting a dolphin, I adopted a DLX? I get regular emails and photos

Good News Indeed!

And Possibly, not only the cheapest, but only way to own one these days.

Howdy all. Yes she has been getting plenty of use over the last
year. I have done a few more bits in that time and had a move around in
the office to better make use of space.
I have two young sons and it's been one of several things to keep them busy in lockdown. The youngest has gotten pretty good.

I recapped the amp, I had another cap on it fail to a dead short so I decided to recap the lot.

A few people pointed out in a video of the cab that the brake lights were not working as they should, traced the issue to the relay used. It was pretty gross inside, a good clean out with deoxit sorted it.

Installed the latest Outrun Enhanced 2.02 roms (amazing stuff).

Once work on Outrun was done I was able to move it to it's final spot I intended for it in my office and decorate / finish the room around it.

Next steps for Outrun, I would like to make a coin chite as it's missing and I would like to replace the plexiglass screen cover possibly with a safety glass one painted to match the bezel of this one.

Cheers.
