Maybe a bar with video games would be better like Barcad. Theres one opening in Peckham soon. Problem with the coast its to dependant on tourism.

As most people say I think have the cafe/bar first and a few machines.
I do miss having a 'spacey' in the pub. I would happily stick a quid in for quick trip down memory lane whilst supping.

It will be 4 plays for a quid.

If old video games still brought in money, there would be more arcade at seaside places with them, the fact they got rid of them all tells you it's a waste of time really

See while I have been one of the naysayers (and not accounting for inflation etc) it doesn't help though that most games left in the arcade are a quid for 2 to 3 mins of gameplay, there's no 30p games that you could attempt to master anymore, and it gets wallet emptying quick! This is now vs the 2p pushers that you never really win on (or get the 'carefully' placed prizes) that will entertain kids for a lot longer for a lot less...

That's a good point! On a recent holiday I had a go on the latest Mario Kart arcade, came first in the first race (only a couple of minutes long) and that was it, no 2nd round, nothing! Just invited to stick more money in to try another track.

Pay more to continue, even when you're winning - something has gone very wrong.
