@Adrian Purser above firefox cockpit

I too had a FIREFOX cockpit but it broke down at Pensarn Pleasure Beach in Abergele …….. anxious not to bring home such a huge sit in machine we hurriedly converted it to a PROBABLY EVEN MUCH RARER " SKY DESTROYER " which worked perfectly in the cockpit (not listed as a game on klov) its a bit like 1942 pilots eye view off an aircraft carrier with air to air dog fight flying with torpedos too for sea vessels and stereo sound in the firefox speakers was still great and it went on for many many years around some of the youth clubs of Cheshire and north wales as SKY DESTROYER north west members may have played it.. if they went to Connahs Quay / Upton Chester / Sealand / Northwich / Middlewich/ Ellesmere Port youthies late 80s early 90s...……not quite as good as firefox but always taking loads of coins. AND YOU COULD DO A 360 LOOP the LOOP to avoid oncoming aircraft etc.

no idea where we got the game board Sky Destroyer could have been direct from Deith Leisure or Brent when we tried to get firefox repair or replacement...… which never happened and I may still have the joystick yoke somewhere as we eventually scrapped the cabinet... the wheeled floor panel was around for ages as it was big enough to put a arcade roulette on to move it around

also one we had till last year not seen many about...………..

F-ZERO flight simulator style framed cockpit racing game......… Too big for most vans to move it round much...…….. after a couple of holiday camps and Ffrith Beach bowling alley at Prestatyn it had been everywhere we could fit it into...…. it got traded...……maybe up Lancashire somewhere if its still in use.?.

similar to this we still have HYPERDRIVE which is like a star wars flying pod racer

talking of which we had twin pod racer STAR WARS too unique controls on these games and bit vulnerable to damage...

Hmmm... not sure I have had anything very rare. Saying that there were a few interesting cabs in the Kent rescue (Sega Thunderblade sitdown or Playscene33 for example - see the op raid section).

Perhaps my DECO cab converted to Arkanoid is the ‘rarest’ I have. My Sega Megatech still works... so that’s rare!

Probably my grail too, would love to put some serious pointage on that cab. Will have to make do with my upright Alca bootleg version that you can't find the artwork for.

Have seen a number of the Sega / Gremlin version uprights in the States - I guess that is another option.

If the artwork could be scanned in on the cabinet I would be tempted to produce a reproduction machine one day.jonhughes2019-01-15 23:11:23

I dont collect rare games even though alot of them are very rare here in Sweden (but common in the U.S).

The rarest I came across so far I belive is:
Subelectro Frogger (Isis cabinet)
Sega Hockey TV (sold to Alpha 1)
Playchoice-10 countertop
The Deco Kid (not working, gave it to a friend)

It was probably the Alca version I played in the arcade, I only remember the cab being fairly black! it was mostly found in pubs in the table version I can think of 3 pubs that had it. I would go for any upright version I even have a boardset stashed
