I haven't been to one of these but am hoping to attend this one. Regarding the traders, are there good selections of stuff at decent prices, things such as everdrives, modded consoles etc?

I fancy getting into a bit of collecting of consoles again and it is a long journey from near Dover so if anyone can give me a good idea of what to expect it would be appreciated!

I guess it'll always be the traders decision on where to price stuff, but I've certainly had some killer deals on a few choice bits and pieces.
I do tend to go with the express intention to purchase nothing, and walk away with "ahem.. well I had to, really" kinda purchases.

Planning on bringing a cab but depends what i have running near the time and if i can get the days off for it

There are loads of traders some bargains to be had but if you are going looking for rare stuff that is worth high prices it will be priced high the traders all know exactly what they have

Thanks for the comments peeps and as always we will try to make it the best we can! As many of you know it gets more expensive to hold and takes more time to organise every year, but we do it all for the true enthusiasts and really appreciate the collective support of fellow Vaccers.

On the arcade front we will be at around 80 cabs again this year, with half of those coming courtesy of Arcade Club so all your favourites will of course be there. We get the extra variety though through our private collectors with cabs coming from myself, Mike, Rog, Martin, Alex, Dave, Rich and many many more. We should be getting a good smattering of candies, original machines like Sky Skipper, beautiful resto’s like Enduro Racer, black and white oldies like Fire Truck and oddities like the Dino King conversions. If we can work out the fine details hopefully you will be all want to have a crack at the arcade tournament too!

There’s more sellers than ever before and there’ll be everything from games and consoles to collectibles and cables available from some of the very best traders out there. Everdrives aren’t common fayre at events because it can upset some traders but some may carry them, and a couple are certainly bringing flash solutions for some systems. Arcades for sake tend to be a more private thing between collectors and I’m certainly offloading some of my no longer needed cabs though nothing highly collectible. One good thing for Neo Geo fans though is the guys who’ve made the new game Xeno Crisis will be there showing that off!

It’s always a great social event guys and we may be taking a break next year so it’s a good idea to get yourself to this one even if you’re going to others around then. It’s where all the real retro heads go so you won’t be seeing foam swords, Minecraft and Fortnite polluting your visit.
