Oh yes, another heroic road trip is on the cards!
Quick bump as I keep getting asked when it is and there's some confusion due to the sun etc.
For all those that can't fathom a bank holiday: it's the 31st, the weekend AFTER the bank holiday weekend
Everyone coming must register via this link: http://www.retrogamesparty.co.uk/rgp55 - no register, no entry. I do have to do the whole if your names not down you're not coming in. I was talking to someone yesterday who said that some of the NLP guys were coming but won't register - I don't get why telling the host you're coming is a big deal.
There's still a few places, just click the link, the page will tell you when there's no more availability.
You're very welcome to bring guests, just register them too.
Some q&A:
Its too far, I live in XXXXXXX, its not worth it
People are coming from the far south and even europe, there's a decent quality but inexpensive hotel (things are cheaper in the North West) down the road or you can have some floor space and breakfast and go home the next day or get some extra game time on the Sunday
My girlfriend/partner/wife/boyfriend/pet alien doesn't like me going away and having fun
Bring her/him with you, my Mrs will be there, she's not a big gamer but loves socialising. Or... grow a pair
What games do you have for me to play?

Righty then, last call makin yer mind up time for the undecideds, unknowns and those that let their mrs's run their diaries.

Currently 60+ on the list, final numbers by this weekend please so I can figure out catering.
There is no floor space left now so if you need to stay over you'll need a room at the hotel down the road.

STAR WARS
Star Wars is currently working but with a monitor from tempest, Given the nature of how the game does the explosion, if my own 6100 doesn't make it back, I may withdraw the monitor to put back in Tempest as an 8 hr shift could easily destroy the deflection circuit and its not my monitor so that wouldn't be fair on that person and i'd be left with fixing it - something I don't yet feel confident to do.
I feel sure we can have both running for the night.
