As you may already know by now if you have read Alpha1's post Riche100 has been suspended indefinitely.
I think we tried to assist him all we could to point him to the path of right but it seems it was to no avail.

The PM's(some bordering on threatening) to various other valued members of this site was the last straw and his account was suspended at 13.36pm.

We don't take this action lightly but feel it was the only correct course of action.

I don't think you had any other option. His ethos didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the people in the forum.

I believe it's fair to say that UKVAC is regarded as a laid back site and I think that's a key factor in making it a good place to be. That, the friendships between our staff and members, and the collective (VAC

) genius of the VACers. Riche100 got a lot of support to try and avoid an event like today's but sometimes, unfortunately it has to happen.

I've always believed that we don't need pages of rules if rule #1 is "Don't be a dick".

I do think he wasn't playing the game though, by trying to sell stuff with misleading descriptions.

Bang on decision mod team There cannot be that many forums he hasn't burned his bridges on now. Sooner or later he's going to end up sat on his own surrounded by broken and worthless tat that he can't palm off with his lies and inflated prices and nobody to help. It's really quite a shame but a situation entirely of his own making. I suspect in his own mind he will find a way to feel he has been persecuted and its all our fault...

It's a shame, I was rooting for him to see the light, but rather than opening his eyes and taking things on board, he took it personally and then ramped up the pressure on himself by thinking he was a victim.

I really wanted him to just say "oh ok I get it, I see and i'll list it as a bootleg", but alas it wasn't to be. I think we can all agree everyone would have moved on and welcomed him more if he understood and applied the forum ethics. I personally had no problem with him selling a bootleg pcb for £9999, it was his right, all it meant was it would never sell.

I feel sorry for the guy, there were times he showed promise, but ultimately what can we do.

Please note we will refund his site supporter contribution back to him as a good will gesture.

If he doesn't learn to play nice, he will be a very lonely arcade collector... in the grand scheme of things there are not that many of us and he is very quickly alienating himself from most of them.

Well done guys on sorting it, I just got sick of it all really and had to post in his sales thread(something I had been trying to avoid doing), it seems to have happened time and time again I just had to speak....and consequently also got a pm from him, part friendly, but part threatening at the same time (which I've only just read as I've logged on). I hope he sorts out his issues and no one get stung with his odd activites.

Pretty stupid though for someone running a business across various eBay accounts without a VAT registration on them though

He doesn't need to be VAT registered if his turnover is below the threshold though.

This is not me speaking as an admin, so everybody is completely free to disregard it

and nothing bad will happen (well, maybe member titles hehe) but I personally think we should let this fade unless new, pertinent info arrives such as Andy's cancellation reports. The guy is gone, I can't see him ever being allowed back on (and we do have measures in place to let us know if an ex-member tries to re-register) so he hasn't any opportunity to respond to whatever is written about him.

Those are merely my thoughts as a member so feel free to ignore them!
