I had a parcel delivered today via Royal Mail, on a Sunday! I think the only time I’ve ever had RM deliver on a Sunday is the week before Christmas Day.
May have had a parcel left on a Sunday but I had knock at door about 7/8pm and was royal mail lady with parcel and that was a couple of months back

Amazon aren't much better. Not with items being late but with them being left on the doorstep and the delivery marked as "Handed to resident"
I leave delivery instructions asking them to put it round the back if we're not in but half the time it's left at the front door. We've got no front garden so it's literally on the street.

My missing post is the untracked stuff

Just wondering if that's getting dumped???
I’ve been having the same problems
2nd class mags
Your mags are most likely sitting somewhere
Make sure you put in cases for each and every one
You have to wait 10 days for it to be classed as lost
It’s not the posties fault and they haven’t been dumped .I’d say

Yeah, the postal workers aren't to blame for the mess. Besides, I think messing with Royal Mail post is a pretty serious offence, so unlikely to have been dumped.

Got another on ebay yesterday, Items sent last week, messaged to say it's 2 boxes and dropped off that day, so should of been there Friday/Monday
Message from buyer Wed saying any updates as tracking doesn't work? Updates, should of been there by monday as I told him so they either arrived or not
Checked tracking numbers, don't work, my bad I can't tell on the slip it's O and not 0 so checked the tracking, 1 delivered Fri and the other that went same time delivered Mon with Photo's in the shop where he works

Honestly, the amount of buyers that question where items are knowing they have them just because incorrect number uploaded is unreal, correct number never message asking where it is? just seems so many try and scam out of not paying if they see a slight chance, will see what his response is to correct numbers added, sure they will suddenly appear

Update, changed to correct tracking number and suddenly buyer finds the items :sneaky:

Waiting on a box to arrive the last month. Sinking feeling but hopefully it arrives!
Indeed. I posted it! Seems like other people are having issues with untracked stuff (which this was) but I posted it on the 15th of August so it's taking it's time for sure. I've raised a case with Royal Mail, hopefully it will help. Although it seems if an item is delayed, but hasn't arrived yet you can't actually do anything.

You can raise a case if something has been lost, but for untracked items the maximum compensation is £20.

I'm still waiting for untracked parcels from 19th Aug. If they are not dumped, are they just in the warehouse waiting to be sent out? Crazy

The last 4 untracked parcels have not arrived for me. I'm paying the extra for tracked now for all purchases on ebay as I want the items, not the cash (total loss is £6 × 3 parcels and 1 x £20, so all low value, getting refunded on these)

Personally, I won't/don't send anything other than Special Delivery anymore no matter what size the item is. Cost £29.90 to send two DK PCB's (seperately) not long ago and that's a fair deal. They were packed properly, no shortcuts etc and arrived safely, next day as expected before 13.00

On the other hand, I paid £8.95 (Special Delivery) to send a vintage, mint on card Star Wars figure up North and it disappeared. It arrived at the hub and was swiflty stolen. I have a battle on my hands here unfortunately and I don't see it going in my favour.

You will be insured for up to £500 with special delivery .you will get what you’re owed if you’ve got all the proof .
Sad state of affairs that special delivery’s are even going missing .

£500 doesn't come close and as it was sold on a Forum, proving the value isn't so easy and their attitude is what you would expect from a drug dealer.

The UK that we once knew is long gone.

Other stuff more important it would seem .,

ouch ,hopefully you insured it for what it was worth ,even though you shouldn’t really have to with their flagship special delivery service .
sad sad days indeed .

Yeah, it's insured for it's sale value. I also took loads of pics of it being packed, the box, the recipients address/senders address etc. It's a graded figure also, so it's in a display case with it's archive number attached to the case so Royal Mail can even find the figure on the graders website.

If I have no joy I will have to grab some legal advice I guess but don't need that kind of hassle. People need to learn how to work again instead of always taking the easy ' sit on my fat arse ' route. It's got worse since the lockdowns, too many people were too happy to be sat on their arse doing ' eff all ' whilst being paid.

RM are have been brilliant where I live. The trouble with some areas is they use casuals who don't know the routes. If you use RM then use the tracked service as they prioritize tracked over pretty much everything else except special deliveries.
Parcelforce for the larger items. I've had two sinks delivered in the last week by PF and taken 48 hours or less each time. First 1.5 bowl sink was RH large bowl when it should have been LH large bowl.... ebay seller has been really good apart from that small mistake lol

this sounds like a proper internet lie

didnt happen, £6 for a phone call....get in the bin

Could be one of those phone call forwarding scams which seem to be getting popular at the moment, someone googles DPD customer service number and the first hit is an advert for a phone forwarding service who then charge premium rate numbers for you to call but then when you call it forwards you to the correct number so it all seems like youve rang the correct number until your bill lands.

Apparently they are making a fortune doing this and its not illegal at the moment.

We've had huge delays of up to four weeks this last 18-24 months.

Got that bad at one point I had two sets of a single quarter of a magazine sub turn up at once.
