edit: how much did you spend on special light bulbs, alone? i guess when it looks this good, it doesn't matter.
I bought bulbs of eBay for the bar, not really that expensive and they look awesome. Out of everything down there the bar took me the longest to design....10 years I just could not get my head round it. I went down London with the lads on the piss and walked into a bar which was Art Deco, I knew the second I walked in what I needed to do, once the bar was built it gave me the kick up the arse I needed to sort the rest.

how do you stop the damp? is everything tanked? .. my cabs have an unusually high failure rate, and I bet its because of the damp
I had it surveyed and there was no damp, apparently it is drained and has a cavity wall on the north wall which is the only wall that is underground. We removed all the old plaster and fitted plaster boards with a plastic sheets to all internal walls on a steel frame for good measure. I was going to put a wood floor but was advised against it as everyone ward I would have a problem with dampness. We fitted carpet throughout but after 11 years there is no issues whatsoever. It is fully central heated and I use a dehumidifier in the bar in the summer months.

But man, you soon made good use of all that space!

For some bizzare reason I was kinda expecting you to find all sorts down there with it being bricked up for so long!
