Voted for you too. My jaw was on the floor browsing through your pictures. Christ the money and effort that went in to this and the amazing job you did on it.

Voted also.

I am a huge fan of old buildings, and what you did is stunning. You have every right to be proud of that.

Thanks a lot for sharing. You have a good eye for photos as well, obviously! Those Defender shots are icing on the cake.

Any other history of the buildings? Original title deeds, history on the original owner etc?

I had fun looking up the regulations on my first place, built around the same time. No more then 3ft of horse manure to be piled at the rear of the building etc :)

The house came with the original deeds, The area has a lot of history it was built from around 1850, most of the residents of Asbrooke were involved in the support of or shipbuilding in Sunderland. Members of the Doxford family lived next door, the rest of the street was coal merchants, chandlers etc. Our house had the reverend from the local church living in it for the first 30 years. Apparently Ashbrooke was built away from the town centre to keep the residents safe from all the diseases that were around at the that time including smallpox, typhoid, scarlet fever to name a few.
