Maybe Power Drift.

And if the moves works for Out Run DX and Space Harrier DX.

Brilliant work this! Well done Smarty.
I'd be interested in something similar for the Taito racing game series if it possible in future. (Chase Hq/CSI/Continental Circus/Top Speed etc.)

Thanks Jon, this game list is at top top of the pile for a re-spin of the design.

Interested too but for the SUPER DX version of Chase HQ that moves. :)
This is a special PCB version with an extra connector 50 pin ribbon cable connector and the four TTLs.

Officially Chase HQ and Top Speed work with moves but I think SCI does too.

It has the same unused slot possibility like Chase HQ and Top Speed upright pcb which does not use it.

But then there are only 3-4 super deluxe cabinet like that in the world. Only one moove, mine.
I don't think you want to do this version for 1 person. ^^

Here an Australian who has a version which does not move any more speaks about it.

I had a Chase HQ DX PCB and sold it to Jodo.

sounds awesome - i have to try and keep my eye on this. As I presume this is Emulation, did u look at MisterFPA project for perfect replication of the games? (TBH i don't know if these games are converted yet)

Mister ain't perfect - it's someone's interpretation. All depends how much detail they've gone to in decapping/reverse engineering, vs. just doing things their own way. So still emulation.

I can't see why the PI shouldn't be as good as the arcade board to 99.99% of folk if the driver is decent (no glitches, timing correct, no lag). And if not, it's all open source to improve it.

Incredible,

I have Outrun and After Burner DLX cabs, so would would buy if the movement worked on these

Forgot, I also have an Enduro Racer DLX which is also in need of this solution - so hopefully the DLX version will be supported :)

I have the moving Chase H.Q. in Australia. I was fortunate enough to be given the machine by the previous owner to continue the restoration. I also have other Sega motion cabinets and I would be interested in getting an alternative option for original boards. If possible it would be great to have implementations of Afterburner, G-Loc and Chase H.Q deluxe boards.

Thanks again for all the comments.

I'll post a video over the weekend showing progress in my Turbo Outrun cab.

I have a Pi image that I can now duplicate with my current setting. Currently running MAME 0.227 which I've compiled. I've altered the Sega drivers to have a common input states, for example the gear selection state is reversed between Out Run and Power Drift, this makes the controller setup easier for my configuration, also the signal names for the output triggers (Start lamp etc) was different between most games, be it by capitalisation differences in the name or by having a completely different name.

The Pi will now auto boot into the cabinet chosen (SD card config) and will switch games at the press of a button.

Output control is the next thing on my todo list.

@Digimon, yes it should be without too fuss, the Pi image I'm making caters for all the games i'm supporting so they will be available as a configuration option.

Obvs when this ships you will need to supply the game Roms that you are legally allowed to play, switching between games will be disabled by default.

Cheers!
