There's a vicious rumour going around (although not signed in blood yet) that i'm bringing something about this size:



Mr Cmonkey, if you did want to send it and there was any way you could get it to mine, I could include it on the truck rather than drive it down sarrrrf and back.

Awesome, just rock up in this and whack the extension lead in! I've always thought a mobile arcade could work. Especially for festivals and events...

I'm about half an hour from the venue so I can bring a couple of cabs. I haven't got a van but I can make a couple of trips in the car.

Are there certain cabs that you want? I don't have loads but out of the ones I do have Track and Field and Galaxian would certainly take the punishment!

I bought some pins off a guy a few years back who went round various fringe music festivals with half a dozen pins, maybe some vids, think he was running them off some biofuel genny or something as a sort of Eco-arcade thing.

Do we all want the videogame tournament back again this year?

I know some people didn't get to play some games whilst they were being used for the tourny - but we can make that clearer this year and also let you know when they are available for all to play.

Will and I have been mulling this over. The major problem last time was that it took a fair few of the 'top' titles out of circulation for a considerable chunk of Saturday, and rightly so some people were disappointed especially if they were only there for the one day.

Def needs rethinking.

I want to come again this year and will bring a cab or 2. Most likely cocktail tables for the bar.

I can't commit just yet as it's pretty damn close to another commitment..

i didn't like the tournament because i was really looking forward to playing Tron and Juno First and then was only able to have one go on each the whole time i was there, died quickly and that was it...

some sort of competition is good, and it is a good way of raising funds, but how about having it for a limited period of 1 or 2 hours per day?

I know if would take masses of work, but I think the Aurcade guys when they run a tournament have all the machines out for playing and when you get a score you just call the judge over, maybe something like that could work?

Failing that if people knew when the cabs were being taken away they could plan their visit around it if they weren't planning on competing.

Same reason I go to an event and play Roby, Centipede and Defender/Stargate all day - unless there is a SW to occupy me also.
