If there was a 'repair meet' at Cambridge, we need to get more tech people helping fix stuff.
Also, there needs to be a spreadsheet (or GoogleDoc) to track the status of each machine, i.e. what the symptoms are, does it play blind, etc. etc.
-I would help again, however only if more join in with repairs, etc. We should get some machines running if enough people and the spares to fix them....

Cheers,
DaveO.

I don't know when the next arc-aid event will be, have to speak to Nes4Life and get a date sorted out.

Yes it would be great if more technically minded people helped out - yourself and Guddler did some super work last time but I agree its more of a responsibility. I think people spreading the word and encouraging others to come along is what works best. Also, time for those who are doing the practical stuff to just hang out and enjoy the museum, socialize etc. should be considered.

I did think about doing a google doc for the machines at the museum as I have a hard time myself remembering what was done, as part of the preparation for the next arc-aid i'll put something together.

Talking of which, I emailed Jason over Xmas about the PCBs of the museums that I have here but I have yet to have a response. Slightly odd, I'd have though they would be keen to get them back so I wonder if my email went missing.

It's possible Martin. It's probably been hectic around the Xmas/ New Year period or something.

I'll be popping along to the museum at the weekend so if you don't hear anything I'll mention it to Jason when I see him.

Hmmm. It does seem like the turnout last year was higher than ever and surely sufficient for someone to take over the reins and run the show anyway, assuming nobody felt like their toes were being trampled on of course. I would imagine with the continued goodwill of collectors loaning their cabs that the event was self funding and if not then strictly speaking it isn't essential to donate all of the money to charity, harsh I know. Anyway, I am hoping that this is just Will, et al toying with us and that the Slam will return 2016 at the latest.

Cheers

K.
