Hi
I good mate of mine, Will Barber from the pinball scene whom some of you would have met at Rav's recent meet, is organizing a pinball and video show in Worthing in January next year which will be in its second year and asked me if I’d post a bit on here about the event.
The first show was called the South Coast Slam, had about 100 visitors including a few jamma + guys there, Pooman, Senor Herer, Skykid, The focus was pinball for the first show with over 100 machines on free play along with several pinball competitions and a visit from the only remaining pinball manufacturer, Gary Stern.
The intention for next year’s show is a similar format but to have a mix of vids and pins with the hope of emulating California Extreme albeit on a smaller scale. Rav and I have offered to take some vids along to the show but Will is looking for anyone else who can help by providing arcade cabs for the show. I can pass on your details to him of anyone who may be able to help. There’s also the possibility of assistance with transport depending on location and free entry to the show for anyone supplying machines.
Hope some of you guys can help to make this show a cool event and in any respect hope you can come along as we don’t have many shows with arcade vid cabs in the UK these days.
Cheers
Greg
