Is it true NS2 doesn't have hall effect controllers? After all the drift grief, I thought that would be a no brainer.

Have a pre-order in. I was massively excited about Switch 1. Really not feeling it now hoping that might change but feel I could re-sell it on day one and get my money back. It's hard to get too excited about anything at the moment with the world as it is.

The game prices are horrific and I can't believe it isn't launching with a follow up to Mario Odyssey!? That came out over 7 years ago so it's not like they haven't had enough time to make it.

Social media is full of shill accounts and bots trying to convince everyone that £75 is fine for a game because of inflation. There's pics of adverts going around of Snes games in the 90s for $90+ but it was in Canadian dollars not US dollars and most people completely fell for it and now believe it's a fair price.

Snes games were incredibly expensive back in the 90's. I remember street fighter 2 being £100 on import.
i remember buying SNES games and being able to trade them in for others in local game stores

so even if you spent £30 on a dud, you could take it to a local store and trade it in, pay a few quid more and get a different game

I thought the Nintendo direct was good, but the lack of an OLED screen and the price point put me off quite a bit.

It will be a great way to play Zelda / Metroid Prime, amongst other games.
Is there going to be an enhanced Metroid Prime? It's the only game I have on cart. I keep meaning to have a proper go at playing through it, as I loved it on GC.

Yeah, that was a revelation for me with my Megadrive - the idea you could get bored of a game and swap it for a new one for only a week's pocket money, rather than a couple of months.
I still wish I'd not swapped Road Rash on though as that should've been a keeper 😭

I meant Metroid Prime 4 although it’s a good question. I’m late to the party with Metroid I’ve only just finished Super Metroid and Dread in the last couple of years.

I love them both, trying to do Prime now but the pacing is making it feel like a slog. The remastered version is great though, enhanced running at 1440p would be even better.

@John Bennett you have given me flashbacks to the time I traded Road Rash 2 for some absolute stinker called Stormlord. 😭

I was late getting to Metroid, too. Several I haven't played yet. I tried the demo of Dread, but found remembering all the attack controls made it too hard for me. Might give it another go...
