So a person i work with phoned me on teams last week as he knows i like my PC gaming and he was building 2 for his twins for christmas, he decided to leave RAM until the last...well that turned out to be a GIANT mistake it seems

Me being totally ignorant as i don't build PCs very often assured him that the price of RAM wont have gone up that much...i'll check on what i purchased against todays price for the same thing(DDR5, 6700, 32gb)

So paid around £120 for mine earlier this year, either January or February, i checked the other day and its now £460

gaming is going to be an extremely expensive hobby if that trend continues, and is probably a reason we havent seen prices for a steam console and also potentially why we havent seen specs for GTA6

Same thing happened to GFX cards in the crypto boom, they eventually came back down in price but likely the prices will be hit again as they have a lot of memory on them now as well.
