Do you know that niggle when you sold your stuff and wish you had not ! Well i thought sod it buy it back, although I never did have a megadrive. Think is better condition than my own snes !!

Think some of the games now are more expensive now than they were back then though !!

Still tempted to get a gamecube but must resist !!

I did start to buy some carts to begin with but then got lazy.

Got a N64 "cart" arrive of of aliexpress which was actually posted from uk, so arrived quickly. I had a good look at the different models and this cart will actually do me rather than the considerably more expensive everdrive. Did a lot of reserach on this and this one has pretty good reviews and 340 games I think. Need to get N64 back out the loft to test it !. I did not feel much joy for the n64,when initially played it , I thought I would love it more . Maybe still need to get a gamecube (but even that is complex what to get !!) , oddly I found a few hardly used gamecube controllers in my loft , even though never owned one !! Looking forward to trying out some games like bad fur day !

The Sega Megadrive for what I needed I thought the official everdrive x5 was a good price TBH and that I bought direct and they get posted from the Ukraine, so did not take too long. I managed to do firmware and do a nice cart of the Pal stuff. I do find the Megadrive looks worse in terms of colours on my LCD TV compared to the Nintendo consoles.

The Snes in my day I used to have a superwild card ! I feel the everdrives that do all the chips are just too expensive, and the other carts on aliexpress are like a minefield. Its a real headache to work out if they do super FX and then some have shit reviews. So not bought anything apart from a few bargain Snes carts for about £12 each from CEX. Any suggestions on a decent cart of aliexpress anyone ?

Sorry for my ignorance what do you do with them, do you swap them for original boards then have to re-solder bits to them. I know on the Mega drive you can by a triple bypass which adds better sound and graphics which attaches to original mobo.

Hi m8, yes I have to swap all the parts over from the original board as the Jap version rots badly from electrolyte that leaks from the SMD Capacitors. Also, the riser board has a custon IC that can die so that has also been reproduced from a revision Sega did so now I can use a GAL instead of the custom

Did some research on a snes multicart and this arrived today, I am really pleased with it as plays the special chip stuff fine and came with all the roms ! Although I own an orginal megadrive everdrive, the snes one is a lot of money in comparison.

I am really pleased with this which is a sd2snes revision X pro. The rom set it comes with is really good at just and is worth the money alone !!

I have tried this in my jap famicom and Pal Snes (which will sell at some stage, when sales quiten down !) and worked flawlessly.
Really happy with this purchase.

i forgot to say, that bunch of stuff cost me £120
no idea how or why that happened, its like the gaming gods were shining on me for a tiny bit, and the guy who was selling it was more interested in smoking pot than taking my advice that he was selling stuff for way less than it was worth

After 8 years since owning my last pin (WOZ) I finally decided to by a Godzilla pro full of mods.

I blame my recent visits to Revival, The pinball office and recently UK Pinfest the reason my pinball mojo has returned!

Not for sale as picked it up personally and was nice price.

Ironically spent shit loads getting the parts to repair mine and then got offered the crystal for not far of the parts I bough :( Ironically still not got my old one working yet ! anyway will pm you as learnt a lot more , things have changed a lot over 20 years ! I already had a set of hdd reasy games but these are shrunk even smaller. So now have a OG Xbox with top 100 games, a 360 with shit loads of games. I have all the games backed up to HD to, just no time to bloody play any of them !
