At the SCS the games used for the high score compo were selected at random on the day, there wasn't any change for pre comp practice. Also the games selected were somewhat random and not ones where we knew there was a chance that of a massive high score. So games like Defender, Donkey kong, PacMan, etc were out in favour of games like ROTJ, Super Zaxxon, Mad Planets, etc. Dtype would have the full rules set but it was one game only, no practice at all before your single game, you picked 5 out of the 7 games in the compo and scored points according to your score against everyone else.. It kept it pretty short and sweet. Once the initial points were totted up there were semi finals and finals on totally separate games (again picked at random). The random element and just one game without practice was a real leveller pretty much gave everyone a chance of doing well.

Anyhow, any compo or any format will be good!

Would have loved to have done this but This Autumn/Winter has a lot of parties and weddings, so my only chance will be the 24th of this month with some of the Revival crew. After Christmas though...

Can I ask that if this is going to be an annual event, can the date/weekend be changed for the next one.

I am unable to come as its my daughters 1st birthday... so if it is this weekend every year I will never be able to attend.

Didn't realise that this meet was to coincide with the birthday of Arcade Club... sadly I have my daughters birthday one weekend and then my nephews the next weekend... both 1st birthdays this year so cannot miss.

Next year thought... things may be different.
