Assembled as it is..

its about 1.4 meters wide, 1.6 meters deep 1.4 meters high.

when in bits :

Base about 1.4 x 1.5 x 0.6

ring about 1.4 x 1.5 x 0.15

rear console - odd bit.

its `L` shaped.

about 0.6 wide

about 1.4 high

about 1.3 deep.

It can be split ( though I have not split mine this far yet)

from the first photo on page 3, you can just see a board thats bolted to the console.

I think if this is removed, the fiber-glass console can be lifted from the metal frame.

that may make it easier to transport.

BUT - before that can be done, the ring needs to be removed, as well as the mechanism that holds the ring in place.

I have written full instructions on how to remove the ring if anyone wants - I think I have written instructions on how to remove that `mechanism` too, if not I will.

Ok real sizes now..

You can see in this photo that there is a black board with 5 bolts each side. Undoing these bolts I can image will let the frame be separated from the rear fibreglass shell.

This so reminds me of that thread on klov with the druggie house where the guy lifted the machine and then got nailed later on after bragging lol... Didn't it turn out he was grassed to the police by another klov member / owner / administrator ???hatster2014-01-07 17:25:07

Ok guys,

any suggestions on how to get this to me, and how to do it legit, as I`d prefer to be sure I can as its SO far away.

if it was 10 miles from home, I`d just try, and if stopped, so be it.

as its 450 miles from home, I dont want me ( or anyone ) to get there to realize its not gonna happen.

best bet is to uplift it to someones place up in Scotland - then get Martin to drop it down to you. Or maybe Martin would be willing to pick it up directly from there, with help from some local Scottish members.

I don't think you will have much luck (read: any!) getting someone from shiply or uship to go and pick it up where it currently is.

It's all part of the Aviemore Highland resort isn't it?

I'd give them a ring and ask to speak to the owner or find out who they are, so you can get permission to remove it

I am thinking about asking the resort if its available, then ask `if` it can be moved to a better location for pickup.

Your plan has a small degree of success if it involves absolutely no effort on their part I'd say. It's clearly in a pretty manky area and they'll realise you only know about it from trespass, so they're not going to be in a doing muddy & wet favours kind of mood I'd think.

I'd just ninja it personally.

What about phoning up, explaining you're from the RCM and you've been informed they've got this equipment, and you'll take it away from them as a charitable donation (which they could possibly get tax relief on) or something?

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/businesses/giving/gifts-in-kind.htm

You might find out there's other stuff stored away in some warehouse... who knows.

Ignore the scare mongering, based on how long it's been there, it's clearly an unwanted item. I guess a lot of other stuff has been taken from there over the years too. I wish someone would rescue the cabs at SpreePark. Always sad to see anything like this neglected and left to rot.
Rescue it and bring it back to life!

I agree with these guys. I'd just be inclined to take it. It's of no value to anyone else

I only mentioned contacting the resort, because you were asking about legit suggestions
