What other hobbies ???

I’ve got loads of brewery equipment including 100l tuns, Cornelius barrels, stainless fermenters, beer guns, chillers etc if anyone is thinking of trying or upgrading their kit.

Also some plastic fermenters, lightly used, free to a good home.

I’ve had to give up the booze, so sadly my brewing career is over.

Nice...We made iwn bread during covid, rose so much as was si bloody hot outside, yeast was a shit to get then though. Treat yourself to a yeast spoon of amazon !

I'll drink it for you, I have unhappy memories of brewing lager in the 90s as a student, I assume things have improved!

Yeh I figure I will get the bread sorted then move to beer !

I got the yeast cultivation good ..
Pretty simple ..
as I’m only on small batch ..
-1 loaf a day -

Just replenishing the yeast with half cup of flower & 3/4 cup water each day and its happy
My oven is shite !
And only doing it all by hand..
Just to get an appreciation of all the hard work that’s involved ..
before getting a new kitchen soon . And will get nice oven and a kitchen aid to improve my bread. Then start some beer I reckon

Well carbonated but head goes quick , I assume its because the C02 not soaked in and is still taking more,

You can us unplug the gas, release some pressure from the keg and open the tap full to have less foam

It was like that as i gassed it by shaking barrel 😀 , that was just after. The good one was a few hours after.

So I just started brewing my own beer again !!! Been many many years and thank to @pooman2084 I have the correct kegs now , Something i didnt have before.

Just done my first one and gassed with proper pub C02 (Nightmare to get hold of !) :-

Only thing is pouring it it very very frothy at the minute but I think it needs to settle and I need to open the tap fully ! But all in all tastes very very nice. I have to take wife work so only having this bit , Honest !

@Lurch666 & @ataridude74 Bring your Jug Lurch next time you both come over ! Anyone welcome !

revisiting this thread, i guess i could say i am collecting dogs these days

currently on 7

4 Beagles, 3 Dachshunds

i also like cooking, playing about with steaks at the moment, searing on the fatty side and putting a bit of butter in to drip over them at the end

Well I am absolutely fuming , It looks like the keg I had of @pooman2084 must be leaking as I seem to have lost 34 of lager in 3 weeks from it !!!!! lol

Did this one for my daughter , A ' Mixed Berry ' Cider thats is very very nice :-



And today I kegged a Brown Ale ( A Newcastle Brown Type Drink ) and that should be ready and gassed by next week.

Looks like I need to get some more lager on the go , That's part of tomorrow taken up !

Wrote some software to track the beer making , I need to do one that tracks how many I am drinking so I dont run out again !



Dont slate me it was a 30 minute project so loads more to do !

Absolutly mate , just need to get round googles OAUTH2 ! Lol (its fine though i use smtp from 1 and 1). I will do a mini POS system branched from my normal one that does all stock and that.

I am very boring and when I can I do some Model Railway stuff , Been hoping to do a setup for years now. I have just started modelling (Not me personably ! lol). Just started to try and master painting and weathering. I am enjoying it though as does not take too much effort.
