It’s a tough game for sure but really good when you learn the controls .masterpiece in my eyes .I like a good challenging game if I’m not putting money in for each game .
Though keeping a cab working and playing at home can be expensive too

Yeah Atari were really making unique games, cabinets and controls at that time. Amazing.
I’m a real fan of that era of ataris ,I regret selling supersprint ,paperboy first time I owned and regret even more selling another paperboy second time after getting it from USA from a trusted seller here .
Also sold toobin and had to buy another .
I do like to switch them around and let Xybots go recently ,but replaced with a.p.b

Wow! You've owned some awesome cabs. Yes paperboy a classic. I remember i used to sit and watch A.P.B and Xybots in attract mode when i ran out of 10p's, they had them 2 Atari cabs next to each other. Great memories.
Many great Atari Games, Xybots and Ninja warriors were two of the last games I remember playing in local arcade so had to have those, got a cheap toobin years back and 2 system 1 cabs and then Champ Sprint/Paperboy as all games local arcades had
Just a shame you don't have space to keep everything, you know you'll regret selling some at later point

Keeping them working can be a big issue ,
I need to have them all working or I can’t have them sitting around taking up space .
I’d of never sold my pole position 2 small version if it wasn’t so expensive to keep running.The boards just kept breaking and I was out a fortune that you never get back ,not to mention to ar2’s ,monitor chassis
It’s like when you see a car like a fiat uno turbo forsale and people gasp at the price of say 12k and say I wish I’d of kept all mine
They totally forget their car was a rotten piece of crop 30 years ago with smoking turbo ,,chewed up gear box and seats full of cig burns .The price of storing it for 30 years ,getting it mint and keeping mint ,finding parts etc
All of a sudden the 800 quid uno turbo you had ,stands you 30 grand and you wish you hadn’t of kept it ,as when you try and selll jt and get a slice of that money back that you put your heart and all your money into
All the people that wished they had kept theirs could have one for 18 k cheaper than what it would of cost to have their old scrapper still in their possession without the hassle
So in other words ,well done to anyone who’s kept 80s stuff alive for all these years ,well after their time

Good thing about 720 is you can get 25" med res tubes/chassis much more easily (U.K anyway)
Hanatrex Polo 2 25" did a low/med version that's easy to find here

i wonder why they didn’t use the med res in system 1 cabs .
I firmly believe this was the case for 95% of people that tried 720.
I think most Atari games from that era is mediocre. Beautiful cabinets but thats about it.
atari I thought were pretty good at giving instructions at that time
Instructions on control panel .which no one probably ever read
But also for the people that didn’t read .They gave out more instructions throughout the game
Maybe Atari themselves thought that the games were beyond people or too tricky and that’s why they included this and actually stopped the game .making you read different instructions .

like a lot of others, was never a fan, didn't really seem like a game, and still doesn't, just something to do, then you need to put more money in to do it again
Atari tried to be pioneers and got stuck making games that were unique but not very playable for me

It’s definitely a game you would need to learn on a cab at home .unless you were a rich kid in the day which I wasnt t or had super skills

The idea of the game is quite simple .earn money for tickets for the skateparks to progress and get medals
Once you complete the first four skateparks .then it starts to come into its own .The skate parks just get so cool
Spyhunter is one of those tough games .that if they hadn’t of added the unique time limit ,instead of lives ,could of flopped
It was a beast to play .i can only imagine how tough it would have been if they had given you 3 lives just from the start .

Atari had super cool game ideas. Great humour in them, colourful, fun and classic speech and music as well as many unique controllers which is one reason I have quite a few Atari
Originally I was thinking of getting a controller and spare control panel for Champ Sprint cab so I could play 720 in that till original came up and I won it
I only played the C64 version in the 80s, cabs really cool though and nice to have original machine
Was going to say I wonder if Arcade 1up are doing one so had a look

they almost made it, and realised it would sell less than 720 machines, probably less than 72 TBH, 7.2...seems like that's a possibility but not profitable
