Martin dropped off Big Phil's cabs and my Sega Rally cab last Friday into Phil's garage

Just had chance to look at it today as we were loading my van ready for Play Expo this weekend

Cab is in decent condition with only a light bit of damage to one of the side panels

Brake pedal rubber is shot but I have a spare set, credit button and one of the speaker covers are missing from the dash but I have a spare dash

Monitor chassis is missing but again I have a spare monitor here but could do with a service

Looks to be complete board set wise plus PSU is there

Couldn't test it as this must have been a slave cab in a twin, just has a 3 pin molex connector for the power which must take it's power from the master ?

I assume these are just 240v input though ?

I believe it is just a 240 input yes mate. You can install a kettle plug female jack so you can use a kettle lead.

Cheers man, that'll be a job to weekend after this one...as well as dismantling it so I can get it into my house

Yes, probably a slave side if it only has the three pin molex for power. Like Alpha1 says you can wire a kettle type connector in and plug it straight into the mains 240V. The master side might have had an AC filter but it's generally not needed.

If it was a slave side and the game runs you will probably have to change it to single in the settings before it will fire up properly (of course you probably already know all this!).

Ok, so I finally got everything into one spot to take a picture (most of it was still in the car!

), just as it started to rain typically! How I got all that in a Mondeo Mk3 Estate i'll never know!

I remember the huge rear projection screen going in, but didn't realise you followed it up with four CRT monitors!! Amazing job fitting all that in, not to mention stripping down those cabs with the light fading fast in the first place..

..we have a raid Tetris winner!

Insane!

I used to pile stuff high until I had an incident with a Sega side panel falling onto me while turning into a dual carriageway.......I tend to not stack as much as I used to now. I bungee things to secure them a bit now as all the stuff would have gone right through the front windscreen if I braked hard!

Dismantled and collected my Sega Rally cab from Big Phils last weekend

Got it home and put it all back together and it's not working !

I stuck in the spare monitor I had and that's not working either (had my doubts about it anyway). Just got a thin white line across the middle of the screen then nothing after that, no neck glow. Have a spare CRT TV which I plan to drop into the Sega monitor frame

Not really bothered as I was gonna MAME it anyway and for the price it's a good starting point. I'll not be hacking the wiring just incase the boardset can be repaired or replaced in the future

Only 1 LED lights up on boardset (no 11 I think) and the CPU gets hot real quickly. Nothing displays on the drive board led display either. Has had a jamma PSU added into the wiring not sure why

Will get some pics up sometime

If you have a thin white line on the screen then you deffo have neck glo, probably can't see it as without it you won't have even a line on screen, which is frame or it's proper name Field collapse.

Make sure the cables from the tube scan coils are plugged into the monitor chassis

Frame collapse is dead common on MS9 monitors. I have the part here to fix that. Usually it's caused by leaky caps so a recap and cleanup is best after the part swap.

*EDIT* Make sure the monitor's remote board is plugged into the chassis, I've seen that before too.

First time the monitor was switched on there was a thin white line on screen which then shortly disappeared, now when I turn the monitor on I get a "static" noise then one click from it

Remote board is plugged in

What happens if the remote board isn't plugged in when powering up, nothing I imagine ?

EDIT - HOLY sh*t ! The drive board (?) which powers the FFB motors just came to life whilst I was typing this ! Cab is in another room, nearly crapped myself !

EDIT - and LED no.5 is lighting up green on the board set !
