How does this buyers "line" work? If I "dispose" of the others "Ray Donovan" style, does that put me at the top of the list?

Mr Swanson, welcome sir. Indeed, if you are the last man standing you will indeed be at the top of the list. Be warned though, Mr Lilley has hoarding skills that can be dangerous.

^ That's for sure mate.

Finding the drive to go deep on resto's is becoming difficult.

The trouble is, the finish is only as good as the preparation.

' By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail ' < Love this phrase, in fact it may have to be my sig!

Paint delivery, although being realistic I wont be priming the cab until the week after next if lucky.

*edit - I already had 2 x cans of primer, so only needed 2, ordered 4 x cans of DK blue but received 5 which I wasn't charged for? Now that just doesn't happen?*

Hey Mike!

Yep, well on our way. You're probably better off not having the patience and staying as you are mate tbh.

Quick update but a really boring one.

Spent 8 hours on the cab on Sunday, still not ready to prime. So I've spent roughly 15 hours preparing it alone.....it gets mind-blowingly boring!

The rough corner is almost done

Possibly the last fill?

Rear bottom is ready to go

New resto hoover as the old one blew up last week. This is Dave....

Donkey dust

Even poor old Bob was bored!

Hoping I can get there tomorrow afternoon and get it ready to prime, then mask it ready to go. Hoping to have the spraying finished next week?

^ The pictures made it actually look nicer than it was. This side I've done 5 times

& thanks, it will be nice but patience is wearing thin.

I found it tedious enough filling a couple of small areas and sanding flat when I did my Afterburner cab, so I can imagine how it is doing a whole cab!
The next bits are much more fun though

call me a c**t but i like my cabs to look like the age they are.

making it look brand new, you may as well just get a new one made.

fair enough if its shagged, but this cab was in good nick to begin with.

bit like classic cars, many are now preserved rather than restored, with their patina intact.

buy hey each to their own, opinions are like assholes etc. just cant help thinking something of value is being lost in the process.

Hey guys, got into the Garage this afternoon.

Got the corner sorted in the end, had a bit of a struggle with this one tbh, just couldn't get it quite right.

Masking

Started to prime parts to see if anything I may have missed would show up.

Then some black going on. Looks like I'll be on target to complete the paintwork next week.
