My mates got a Tesla on company with free charging at work so I can see the benefits for some, he mentioned it was 1% for the first year & 2% thereafter vs much higher on fuel.
I work in this industry so there's no chance of 35K
That's the way they are getting EV's on the road, Private sales of them are down because people are seeing what a con it is, there not green anyway, zero emissions from the car doesn't equal zero emissions from the planet
Seems the london underground is the worst place to be for pollution
years back I was considering converting mine to electric until you look at the cost, but as the whole scam is slowly being exposed they don't interest me at all, full of touch screens and software they can download to when they want, turn features on and off, shut it down, so only was i would consider one at any point is my own converted car
Before really seeing the man made climax hoax scam too, I was looking to swap engine in my car to save me money and do my bit to helping save the planet but when they say no we won't reduce the car tax because you have a smaller engine with lower emissions you know it's not about saving the planet, just the usual ripping us off
Same for me, I have ultra reliable 1980's Technics Hi-Fi stuff so what car would you choose, Ultra Reliable Japanese, personally I prefer Honda and I wouldn't drive anything else
Had many Company cars over the years and never 100% liked a single one of em, Mondeo had some sort of dead spot on accelerator and would stall all time, heavy clutch, boot wouldn't shut half time, sony stereo over heat, Smax same heavy clutch and boot issue, others had same issues with both cars
Vauxhall Astra's were nothing but crap, Engine oil leaked out one while driving on motorway, oil pressure light never even came on

one was going in garage to have brakes replaced, before the monday it was booked in it started leaking water so I was freezing cold working half the weekend, had to keep topping water up, 2 weeks it took em to sort water leak and they gave me it back without brakes being done, so back in and I got to use the load car another shitty astra with faulty brakes, how it's possible I don't honestly know but you would drive along and brake fine, randomly you would go to brake and pedal straight to floor like you had no brake fluid and then lift off, press again and brakes back as normal

no one would believe me and they wouldnt do anything about it, AA or RAC guy said use your handbrake
Peugeot/citroen, on geez last van I had pulled to the left from day one, let go of wheel on motorway and your veer left, 3 times it was in before they sorted that out, guy I was talking to at work said he had major issues with his company car, similar problems i seem to remember and he was saying they are setup for french roads, he used to be a mechanic and work on them, the main dealers couldn't fix it, kept coming back the same, he got so fed up he told the company pay for the parts and he'll fix it himself he was so fed up
Don't think many people realise just how crap some of these new vehicles are, new Shitroen van as i call it, wanders all over the road all the time on motorway, you don't notice it at first but thing while is it pulling left right all time following every back bit of uneven tarmac, constantly having to move the wheel left a bit, right a bit it's really tiring and boring and I hate driving all these new vans
So when I used to drive my 2000 HRV and 1995 CRX to work, I thought I'd see if I have same issue on same part of motorway and nope, no issue at all, go nice and straight, hardly move the wheel on motorway the whole journey unless its a bend, then I was reading one of the Honda brochures and it says about the suspension being designed to avoid this exact issue, honda seem to take visibility as an important factor where Peugeot/Citroen it seems to be one of last, aweful looking 2008 Peugeot 308 SW I had, The A pillars are so big and badly placed I nearly pulled out on someone at an island because it's blocks the whole view of the vehicle, this citroen van at work is same, I have to lean left and right to look around it to make sure nothing coming
80's 90's ones were probably decent but i'd never touch anything french car wise these days
because of how conscious i am driving the van now with it all over road and having to correct wheel constant, had trip to Norwich and back yesterday in mine and I was taking note of how much I turned the wheel on the nearly 300 mile trip, hardly at all, would drive mine anytime over any of the company cars i've had
