Bought something from a member here this week,
Kindly the guy sent it signed for ,
Postman just signed it himself and left it
Somewhere god only knows as Royal Mail won’t tell me where?

The gps records are showing that he did post it, and signed for it himself?

Royal Mail told me this morning it isn’t near my home.
They will try to retrieve it for me,
? Signed for what’s the point of the post man just signes it himself ?

That does not sound correct, perhaps left item with wrong house.

Or are there e a couple of different levels of signed for!?
Where one of them let's them leave it in a safe place if you have declared one which makes no sense.

The *tracked* with signature is the one I've used and have never had them leave a parcel without obtaining the signature.

If it's not been signed by you or someone in the household then it's not been delivered.
If you have a copy of the signature from royal mail can you dispute it not being your signature?

Yes wrong house
Wrong road
Royal Mail won’t give any info on where.
But they have said they will try to retrieve item.

If item was not signed for amd left at wrong address heaven knows if it’s in the rose bush or not ?

DWS. Delivered without signature.
And to rub salt into the wound
The postman has signed for it himself.

WTF?
Isn’t it standerd to take the item back to depot and re arrange a delivery ?

Maybe the package has wrong post code on it

Parcel Force are pretty good for Europe. For any higher value items, even in the UK I use DHL or FedEx as prefer the tracking and to me it feels like more business like service. Eg very strict on signatures, photos.
Royal Mail generally are great, but I get the impression they have to deal with so many items it's maybe? more likely for something to go missing if they have a bundle of items to deal with.
It could just be unlucky with that item, these things happen. But I bet DHL/FedEx would be quicker at sorting out a refund.

yeh. Royal Mail are good.
I’m just dismayed at what has occurred here?
I will never know. But I hope I get my item.. £65 it was ..
Sender paid well for the tiny size of item.
£6 postage . Just baffled,
Signed /tracked and it’s lost.
Even though adrsss was correct.
🙄. Hope it returns to me..
It’s a SanwA candy cab spinner too
Don’t see em every day ..
And it could end up in the trash
And I lose my money
🥺 I would love to know why

Yodel delivered a small package but it didn't make it through my letterbox.
Turns out they posted at 39 instead of mine at 36??
Dyslexic delivery guy?

In my experience Yodel are the worst. Once had a package left on a neighbour's garden bench. I think their moto is "Near enough!".

If only folk didn’t steal peoples shit.
Postie can just leave it in garden post box like good old usa..
That's the world today, unfortunately. A lot of people think it's fine to screw-over everyone else for their own gain. Everyone has become obsessed with money, basically. Sad.

Evri keeps saying they delivered to my garage. What the one that has no letter box and is always locked.

They just leave on the doorstep when I'm at work all day. They used to leave with the neighbour but have decided that the doorstep is now fine...

IDIOTS!!! 🤬🤬🤬

There was a door cam footage doing the rounds yesterday of an Amazon driver dropping off a package. He then proceeded to steal a package left on the doorstep that was delivered earlier by Royal Mail.

Just read about that now.

If you need more money, get another job. Not steal
