It looks like http://www.shiply.com/ is your most realistic non-Martin option or hire/drive. Just saw your location and there's a very sketchy van hire place around Burnt Tree island who must be renting out nicked vans to do them that cheap. Can try and find a number for you if you like?

Martin is an extremely popular and busy guy.
He also has a life and a family. Juggling everything at the same time is extremely difficult and he has sacrificed plenty in the past for the benefit of this community. By posting your feelings here has probably struck you off a long list of guys who use nobody else.

I can also vouch for martin, what a top guy - he always goes out of his way to help.

As for not getting back to people - he is always busy delivering cabs and a little text or PM on one of the forums normally does a trick.

I personally have never had a problem with him and I dont think anyone else has -

As Jodo says, its not a good start to sl*g someone off in a place on both this and the other forum have used his services for a long time now - and you wont find anyone with his tales of old either !

I never even thought about that , nice one, I could just imagine someone swearing as the driver slides the mint DK or Star Wars cab off the back of his "Mercedes sprinter" scraping the back edge along the van, every single old cab I bought before I learned of Martin has back end chaffing

Martin is a nice guy and definitely goes the extra mile. But he can take a while. I'm sure he knows this as he's tried to take on extra help a couple of times.

Personally, I'm sometimes not very patient, so on occasion have used other couriers or hired a van and gone my self. They are all more expensive and wont do any lifting.

But if you don't mind paying extra and can get the cabs in your house your self.

Hadfields take a fair bit of time too and cabs will have to be VERY well wrapped.

Martins delivered around 20 cabs to me and hes very professional.

That's the first time I've ever seen him been sl*gged off.

I have used martin a few times and although he can be a bit slow at times but that is understandable as he is a very busy man, the cabs always turn up in the exact same condition they leave in and martin is also a nice guy to deal with

I got nothing bad to say about him, I am more than happy with his service

Nice to see alot of love for Martin... I have used him many times and will continue to do so.

Also, you have to remember Play Expo has recently been on and Martin has a huge backlog of cabs to redistribute round the UK and so new jobs will have to fit in around that for a short while until he is able to get back on top of it all.

It is just him working his arse off for the community, so just be patient and it will get sorted.

I must admit I have used another Amusement courier once... Speedlink (http://www.speedlinktransport.co.uk/) but that was because it was just after Martin had an operation last year and I needed the cab picked up sharpish.

Other than Martin and SpeedLink, I don't think there are any other options except to hire yourself a Luton and pick it up yourself... but that will work out alot more expensive than the others.

Another vouch for Martin - I'd 100% recommend him if you want your cabs delivered safely. He's a busy guy and always on the road so that would explain any delays. The fact he is so busy is indicative of the high esteem he is held in - hence the huge demand for his services

Should be able to fit all your games in and more.

Not sure how much he's charging,

however should be able to sort you out a freebie as he did bring his little war from Cybertron to Earth at our expense.

On a serious note, as far as i'm aware Martin is a very busy guy,

I have some jobs for him and I'm just being patient because I know he'll come through.

When I have spoken to him he's really cool and if something is urgent then he'll try and work something out.

Can't say I agree with the word 'useless' tbh, there is a reason why he is so busy.
If you are buying something off ebay then expecting Martin to drop everything to pick it up quickly, then you are best using someone else and paying 2-3 times more than what Martin charges.

I've only used Martin once, and I'd certainly use him again, I was flapping a bit with my first cab delivery and along with Oll he sorted out a mix up amicably, kept in contact right up until the delivery, and delivered on the day/time when he said he would. When I couldn't get an answer when phoning I sent a text and he replied in good time......Can't say fairer than that!

And we have the mini-meet (four weeks from this weekend), so he's going to be rushed off his feet leading up to, and following that event as well.

I think people are just far too impatient these days and get all stroppy when they can't get Amazon-style next day service.

Nice to see such positive support for Martin, he is clearly well thought of.

Also nice to see that no-one took to ridiculing the original poster for his terrible use of the English language in his posting. Its refreshing to see that no-one took one look at how badly it was written and immediately thought that the sentiment behind it is most likely worth ignoring.

On many other forums he would have been ripped to pieces for writing like an....erm....well I can't think of a comparison here....but you get my point. Well done all ;-)
