If you feel so strongly about this I suggest you start the same thread over on KLOV.

And do so before someone does it for you and posts a link to this thread on VAC.

Tick. Tock .....

Good luck.

Of course, they are.

I did´nt mean that KLOV sucks.

Maybe I did not choose the title of the thread wisely

How I said, all the other members came back in touch and some even showed some will to sell.

So I officially state that KLOV is also a very good forum with many lovely people and I did mean to insult the forum itself.

UKVAC rules though

Anyways, they have a very rude way to treat one another. I read thread of a guy (of course a newbie, they are always the punching-balls for the idiots who does´nt have girlfriend) who made an operator raid.

He found a lot of that round Pong-tables, some cool stuff and a Computer Space.
One of the jealous members stated:

"Looks to me like a bunch of crap that better should stay in the barn and keep rotting..."
If a newbie would post like that.....

I think you might of misunderstood this.

There was a load of junk in the trailers aswell, piles of wood, lighting strips etc, but the guy had to buy the complete trailer

That was my understanding anyway :)

Ahhh, this is possible.

Anyways, everybody of us would take twice the junk to come by that Computer Space.

Although doubt that it is very funny to play (but I might be wrong on that), it is a status symbol.

What is the value of one today?
Are the different colors are different games because the CP´s seem to be different.

I wouldn't. I'm very choosy about what I take on. Never really seen the point of picking up dozens of cabs that no one wants or has any interest in just to get a couple of nice pieces. Idiotic in my eyes.

I think I would just point out that an original Taito Darius/Ninja Warriors 3-screen PCB alone is worth around £800. No joke. I know my onions.

Clearly the chap on KLOV who owned the Ninja Warriors has a clue to it's worth.

I seem to recall when I enquired if you wanted to sell your non-working Namco Galaxian, you stated that you had already been offered 2000 Euro for it and had refused it.

From that I took that you had no intention to sell, as 2000 Euro for a non-working Galaxian is a fantastic offer.

What I did not do is to post that you are an idiot. I may have thought it though.

Can't remember.

I just told you the facts.
Did I ask you for an offer???

I said it is not for sale an even if it would be, you offer would be higher then 2000Euro as another member offered me that.

I dont get what you compare here? Did I ask you to make an offer? And did I ask for a higher price just to provide Pictures?

I said that it is not for sale and thats it.

I did not try to pull you your money out your pocket.
I never stated that I am interested in a sale, neither in the thread mir in out private conversation.

And by the way, it is mit just a Galaxian....you should know that and it is not the price I asked for, it was a member who offered it by himself.

The important point is THAT HE WANTED TO SELL IT and asked for an offer, a blind offer to be precisly, and he had a penalty in mind for the case that I wanted to see pictures.

As for the 800pounds for the PCB:

One NW went on CL for 100 I read in the forum...and it was announced that it is on CL.

On KLOV went one for 400.

One guy could'nt sell his NW at all on KLOV and parted it out and sold the parts for 250,

So your estimation is quit wrong.

I agree with synonym9, the guy was trying to force money from someone interested based on a cab they had never seen vs how lazy he was, the point he was making is how big a dick some people can be on forums, just like someone has repeatedly been in this thread!

The KLOV guy's reply was absolutely fine - and it gets more and more fine the more you re-read it. He was actually pretty polite in saying he didn't want this to get negative. His example was a little extreme but he made his point well. It can be crushing not to be able to get a PCB or a part or a cab for your collection but that's the nature of this and pretty much any hobby involving collecting. Things do come up though; usually when you least expect it and usually in groups of 2 or 3 in the space of a few weeks! If you'd have told me 6 years ago I was going to own a Star Wars cockpit, a Space Harrier Dlx and a Firefox, I would have told you to get the F' out ;-) ...but you'll get a Ninja Warriors PCB I'm betting by this time next year and all this will be so much noise.

Yes there are bad characters in any hobby but I don't think this seller is one of them. KLOV is a huge and well respected community and many of us spend a lot of time there, as well as on DLF.

I think the best thing anyone can do here is forget it and move on; we've all got plenty to be getting on with ;-)

The thread was entitled "Are´nt there some serious idiots on KLOV???" which is asking for people's opinions on whether this is the case or not based on synonym's version of events.

If you don't want people's opinions, that might differ from what is thought, don't post a thread about it??

This situation happens all the time. It has happened to myself. As soon as someone wants a ridiculous amount for money for something, you walk away, and sometimes you choose not to deal with said person again. No point posting a thread about it though

The fact you agree with synonym doesn't surprise me at all. Be off with you. Have you got a .ini file to configure?

Haven't you got a monitor sale to do a quick swap on?

Ha ha!

I'm such a scam artist!

No one will trade with me again now!

I don't know how I sleep at night.

:)

I'm just going to chime in here and say my facebook and website inboxes get a constant battering of "sell me your...."

I always send a very stock reply explaining the games aren't bought for sale, part of a large private collrction, our only goal is to fund their housing yada yada. Unfortunately some people persist.... Quite veraciously.....

No means no.

If somebody says it is not for sale I say "Thanks for your time and kind regards"

Noone is supposed to be bothered.....
