Cheers, fellas, glad it's over to be honest. Enjoyed but enough is enough...although I've just compiled a list of parts needed for the next one

Lovely - but why 2 donkey kong cabs?

Have you got Kong 2 in one of them?

Because I can I guess Vic. My initial intention was to convert this cab to a D2K like Tony T's but decided in the end to keep it DK as it was an original DK cab, if it was a Vs cab then I probably would have done. The next one will be the same as this but will run Kong 2 with D2k artwork (except sideart) but I'm probably going to chrome the coin door, marquee rails, lower bezel retainer, pcb retainer brackets and monitor bolts/rail.

Absolutely Stunning line up, I now have to go for a lie down, the excitement from the build up to the finished game was to much for my old ticker.

None of my 'restorations' come within 1000 miles of the dedication and hard work you put into getting the finish on those, but you give us all a target to aspire to. You have my unreserved admiration.

I have a dk2 kit on my Kong board. I'm gearing up for a scratch build kong to free up my jr to go back to jr.

I intend to mount the monitor on a Square board so it can be 'tated for popeye n mario bros

It will have dk and fix it felix in it as standard though. I'm going to get all the front art fof f.i.f too.

I'd like to see you do a Pauline cab!

A perfect job, very well documented. You should drop the german Superully a line and teach him how to work.
That guy uses 10kg of bondo and sands 9,8kg down again.....AND STILL GOT HOLES AND WAVES IN SURFACE

One of the best resto-thread I saw until now...maybe the best

This was a big job. I thought once I'd finished it I couldn't have done any better which at the time was true but because so much was learned during this one, the next one will be better.....there's no doubt about it.

Learning all ze time!

If you don't mind me asking, are you still able to get hold of the blue DK paint?

I'm scratch building a 3/4 size DK cab and want to try and get the right blue, but have to real reference (for a colour match)

Thanks

I hope so, I'll be needing some shortly.

It's not cheap though, you're looking at roughly £100 - £120 with primer (including VAT) and it's a dirty old job.

I thought you might do for your next/ last Nintendo cab restore.

I'm really keen to get the right colour for mine
